  1. This is a great real-world example of how to deal with an off-leash dog who is charging you and your dog. Notice how the owner stays calm, uses his foot to touch/block the charging dog, stands his ground, and then uses calm, confident energy to send the dog away. Many people would panic in this situation, which would cause the charging dog to likely continue and also cause their own dog to join in the panic with their owner. I realize this may not be as easy with a larger dog charging. If you live in an area where there are off-leash dogs who may charge you, consider bringing a walking stick with you to block the incoming dog. As crazy as it may sound, bringing a tennis racket may even be a better option. Other things you could bring are a compressed air spray or even bear spray. I wish people would just take responsibility for their dogs and keep them on leash or contained on their property, but unfortunately, at this point, many people don’t. Staying calm, raising your assertive energy, and standing ground is very important to deal with a situation like this.

While it may be super awkward to us humans, there is a reason dogs seem to be so interested in a human’s crotch area.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ The reason dogs sniff each other’s butts is because their apocrine gland is located there.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ The apocrine gland releases pheremones that tell a dog how the other dog is feeling.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ In humans, we have apocrine glands in our crotch area and our armpit.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Because an armpit is too high for most dogs to reach, the next best area is the human crotch.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Depending on what energy state we are in will create different scents from the apocrine gland, which is what a dog is very interested in knowing.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Remember, dogs are all about energy, so it’s best to meet a dog with calm and confident energy. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Many people who don’t understand dogs may get embarrassed when meeting a dog who is interested in their crotch area.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Just know this is an instinctual behavior that is normal, but you can put limitations on it if your dog views you as a leader / parent-figure.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Do you enjoy topics like this about dogs?

  3. Really nice interaction between these two dogs at the end of a dog show. These dogs are compatible not because of their breed but instead because of their energy. A dogs energy will be a result of their natural born characteristics and life experiences. When I say natural born characteristics, I'm talking about their energy level (how much energy they have), their drives, intensity of drives, their pack position, etc. When I say life experiences, I'm talking about: How healthy was their puppyhood? Have they had any traumatic experiences in life? How well has the dog been socialized with dogs/animals/people. What has the dog been exposed to in life? Has the dog have a calm, confident leader they can rely on to guide them in life? All of that combined creates a dogs unique energy. When it comes to compatability between dogs, the most compatible dogs will be dogs born with similar characteristics who have had healthy life experiences.👍 Who knows what amazing movie the background audio is from???😂
