I’ve learned so much in this past year and the strength I’ve gained is unexplainable. September is a heartbreaking month for me. As the month comes to an end and we mark today as our mother’s burial anniversary I wanted to share what grief looks like for us. I try my hardest to hide what I’m going through because wearing it on my sleeve isn’t a good look at all. But I’m here to tell you there’s no time limit in grief and heartache. As life goes on it won’t hurt any less, but knowing my mother is peacefully resting and getting all she deserves in heaven is what keeps me going. I thank you all for your love, support, prayers, and watching me grieve but also grow in my business tremendously. If you’re grieving someone who’s no longer here just remember you aren’t alone & YOU WILL WIN THIS BATTLE! As my mom used to say “It’s okay to have bad days just don’t stay there. Keep pushing sometimes even when you done want to.” I didn’t think I would be able to stand 380 days later..   2. It’s always an honor to assist families with their loved ones. But this one hit just a little different. I had the honor of doing Ms.Pats hair and makeup for her homegoing. Ms.Pat’s daughter found me and trusted my entire process. Not only did she trust me but these ladies made me feel so welcomed! These ladies were AMAZING! We laughed and joked the entire appointment! I learned so much about their mom and her unconditional love. You can tell they were raised by a substantial woman who didn’t play! Being able to assist them on laying their mother to rest is beyond heart warming. To be there to support these women meant more to me than anything. This was truly a blessing and an opportunity to do Gods works. God, I thank you for Ms.Pats life! The love and the legacy she’s left here will never die. I thank you for her children lord and I ask that you continue to lift them up. There’s nothing like a mother’s love so I asked that you wrap your loving arms around her children and her family!   2. I lost my puppy today after almost 18 years. My heart is broken. Dior lived a long, happy life. I was lucky to have her. Got her my senior year of college in 2003. She was so young I had to bottle feed her for 2 weeks. She moved from Boston, to Arizona, to San Francisco, to Southern CA with me. Dior was my adventure partner, & at times, my only friend in new cities. She taught me how to take care of something other than myself & she was around for every major event in my adult life, thus far. I kissed her probably 100 times a day haha. The pain I feel now is worth all the love & memories I got to share with her over the years. Wish pets lived as long as we do. I loved her very much. Hug & kiss your pets extra tonight. ❤️
