  2. Being in the water for moments like this is something I’ll never get over. Everything happens so fast and you’re just trying to take it in while also capturing it. This was shot in really low light, and the photo didn’t come out the way the moment actually felt at all. I edited this in @lightroom on Desktop and was able to bring it back to something that feels way closer to what it was like being there. Shaping the light, cleaning up the grain, and turning a split second underwater into something I can actually hold onto. That’s what I love about it.   3. A few days ago we dropped the dog we found off at the @hawaiianhumane to start the adoption process. This is to ensure that no one can try to take her from us once we adopt her. While she was unchipped, for 48 hours someone could have still claimed her as their dog if they could provide proof. It’s been more than 48 hours, so that window is closed. We are not allowed to get updates, but if she’s still there it means that she is being put through an adoption eligibility period. They are monitoring her behavior and health to make sure she can be put up for adoption. We chose their Opt-to-Adopt program meaning they will give her back to us should she be adoptable. She is a very good good, so I’m not worried at all about her behavior. As for health, was a stray with sightings as early as September 2025. During that time, I’m not sure what happened to her. She has a rash on their inner thighs that itched, but nothing else obvious. Right now, all we can do is put faith in the system and that we are doing the right thing. #hawaii #hawaiianhumanesociety #dogslife #heartbreak #dog

My recipe is heavy on the ginger because I love ginger. ✨Recipe: 2lbs chicken thighs 2C shoyu 2C chicken broth 2C brown sugar 4 TBS Sesame oil 2 opinions, sliced or quartered 1 TBS minced garlic 3in ginger, grated Slurry: 3TBS cornstarch mixed with 3TBS water/chicken stock 1. Rinse your chicken and place in pot 2. Cut onion and grate ginger, place in pot 3. Add in shoyu, chicken stock, garlic, sesame oil 4. In an instant pot, set to high pressure for 35min 5. Natural release between 5-10 minutes and then quick release. 6. Hawaiian style comfort food 🍛 Beef stew takes A LOT of prep work, but it’s so worth it! ***If subbing in kalo for potatoes, it’s a 1:1 substitution 🤙🏾 ✨Recipe: Ingredients: ½ cup all purpose flour 2 lbs beef stew meat 2 tsp kosher salt 2 tsp black pepper 2 stalks celery, sliced 4 medium carrots, peeled and cup into 1 in. pieces 2 yellow onions, peeled and cut into 1 in. pieces 3 medium yukon gold potatoes, peeled and cut into 1 in. pieces 2 TBS tomato paste 1 8oz can tomato sauce ½ cup shoyu ½ cup worcestershire sauce 4 cups beef stock Instructions: Before you do anything with the meat, cut all your vegetables first, put it in a bowl and set aside. 1. Season the beef: Place ¼ cup flour into a medium bowl. Using paper towels, pat the stew meat as dry as possible then season with salt and black pepper. Dredge the meat in the flour, coating the meat well but shaking off any excess flour, set aside. 2. Brown the beef: Add oil to a large pot/pan over medium-high heat. Remember to shake off any excess flour from beef then place into the pot/pan. Brown for about 2-3 minutes on each side, working in small batches to avoid overcrowding in the pot. 3.
