  2. Meet Cadence Grace Moore Miracle Story: My parents adopted me as a frozen embryo. I was born four months premature at 23 weeks gestation. I weighed just 1lb 1oz at birth. I spent 98 + 28 more days in NICUs back then, but I turned 5 years old this week. I love sharing my miracle story and hope it brings encouragement to others! Obstacles: I am tiny but mighty! I’ve always been -1% to 3% on the growth charts, but I’ve always grown steadily on my own curve. My feeding tube gives me the nutrition I need to help me grow. I have some minor fine motor and gross motor delays that I am outgrowing one outstanding leap at a time. My sensory system processes things differently and I have clinical anxiety. Visual schedules, calendars, and timers, as well as social stories and a token reward system help me push through these obstacles and thrive. Strengths: I’m super social and love to play and party all day. I’m very imaginative and love pretending to be a chef, princess, superhero, knight, firewoman, doctor, veterinarian, teacher and a president. I love cleaning up and organizing my toys; I’m quite the little helper. My name means rhythm and I like to sing, dance and play musical instruments. I’m an animal lover to the core and very sweet to furry friends, especially dogs and horses. I can identify and name many dinosaurs and I like being silly to make people laugh.
