He is the source we need for everything in this life and apart from Him we can do nothing. Tomorrow is not promised. I am such an advocate for overall health and wellness and daily habits forming the life we want to live. But if you don’t know WHY you’re on the earth and why you’re creating the healthy habits and lifestyle then you’re missing it.. WHY is living a healthy life important !? Is it just to build the business, make the money, have the relationship, car, house to find your best self etc? Those things are all great and apart of life and actually I believe they’re gifts from God but if you don’t know or understand the concept of WHY you are here on this earth in this year at this time then have you REALLY asked yourself why you’re building (or want to build) a healthy life.   3. 5 Days & 5 Hours is something I will always remember. 🤎Ending #BlackMaternaHealthWeek with a little snippet of my Labor & Delivery story. (Long Caption Below 👇🏼) On July 27, 2025 I was induced due to high blood pressure and my son’s heart rate dropping off and on due to his cord being wrapped around his arm. Outside of my husband and family, my team of nurses and midwives were nothing but amazing at Henry Ford. I was honestly terrified through the entire process and knew because of my high blood pressure, this could end very badly. But, everyone kept me calm and reminded me that my body does know what to do, but it’s also doing something it has never done. So we are going to take this slow. After laboring for 5 days, on August 1 it was finally timed to push. I pushed for 5 hours, as my team coached me I was told me baby boy is stuck and we would need to do a vacuum to help pull him out. I had 3 pushes or we would have to rush to an emergency c-section. In that moment I honestly just kept thinking about getting my baby out safety. I truly didn’t care how. But looking back at it, I could have lost everything. Thankfully in the 2nd push, he came flying out! Literally flying! The laid him on my chest and he cried out, loud and strong. As my mom and husband cried. All I could scream was “Thank you Jesus!” I truly felt his presence in my room that day. I couldn’t help but sit in shock as they stitched me up and I held my baby. For weeks, I couldn’t put into words what exactly happened in that room. The experience of giving birth has been something out of body and beyond anything I could explain. It was hard, uncomfortable, painful but I would do it all again! I am soo grateful tha my story didn’t end how most Black womens birth story do. I am so grateful I had a team of women in that room to guide me. Thank God the listened to me. Thank God, my baby andI made it out on the other end healthy. 🤎
