Some climbers might still not know how to recognise wet sandstone but let’s face it, most do. There is enough campaigning and education in the community. If you’re climbing wet rock, you’re most likely doing it deliberately, so ask yourself, is it really worth it? Does it make you feel good to put yourself ahead of everybody else in our community? You tour all day, melt snow, crawl into the tent early, and sleep like a rock because uphill hits different in the winter ❄️ No campground noise. No headlamps everywhere. But once I learned the basics of heat management + moisture control, everything changed. Here’s the truth nobody tells you: 🔥 You don’t need a -30°C sleeping bag

  3. My mental health is in the gutter and it's been like that for a while. Over the last year my anxiety has been at an all time high and my depression at an all time low. Getting up and taking care of myself was a challenge, let alone training and going to school. There were months where I was only able to get myself to the gym once a week. I lacked motivation and a clear goal that I actually believed I could achieve. I started taking antidepressants, forgot a few doses, had a seizure and learned that skipping medication increases the likelihood of having a seizure. I was slowly taken off that medication and put on anti-seizure medication as well. Of course, I eventually also forgot a few doses of my anti-seizure medication and if you couldn't guess, I had another seizure. Turns out when you skip seizure medication it makes it even more likely for you to have a seizure than if you weren't taking it at all. There is no happy ending here. My mental health is only mildly better than it was before. I can't tell if my anxiety meds are helping or making it worse. Theres probably a little bit of brain damage from the seizures, at least that's my reasoning for the fact that slurring words has now become a normal speech pattern of mine. And my neurologist thinks I have a juvenile seizure disorder that appears in the form of short full body muscle jerks. So to all those who've seen me just violently twitch for a sec, sorry for scaring you with that but now I kinda have an answer for why I do that. Moral of the story, DONT FORGET TO TAKE YOUR MEDS. Welcoming suggestions for decorating my pillbox to make it more fun and coquette or suggestions for not forgetting my meds cause why can't I remember. And don't tell me "oh just set an alarm," IT DOESN'T WORK. Idk how y'all do it but I will turn off the notification and literally forget what I'm doing on my way to get the medication (or turn off the notification and go back to sleep 😓). Also, gurl, your anxiety ain't worth a $3000 uber just tell the EMT someone else can take you to the hospital. 🙄 You're not alone 🤍 📸: (1) @gajdaphotography (2) @lenssoul

I’m working on alllllll sorts of pieces in my studio at the moment, preparing for the upcoming @pottersmarketatthemint With the boys back in school, I’m finding myself in the studio full-time during the day for the first time in a year and a half!! While I miss my boys dreadfully, it’s also nice to have the big chunk of focused time to work. But I’ve struggled a little bit to get into a logical groove. My tasks have been a bit all over the place- I want to make all the things all at once! Hahaha! Just trying to give myself a little grace and space, knowing that I’ll eventually get organized. Anyway, here’s a couple new hand built jars that are currently in process. The one on the right has my interpretation of a mourning dove, which is Sammy’s favorite bird. I think he needs to be plumpier next time...
