Setelah dicita2kan beberapa tahun, akhirnya kesampean juga nyoba jalur Leuser ini dan nyampe ke 3 puncak utamanya dalam 12 hari 😍 Dapet cerah di puncak (p @nadinemerry92 ) dan bisa tahun baruan di sini pula. 💯 Rencana super mendadak karena diajak @abdul_kholiiq @sheltergarut . Tapi emang harus mendadak kayanya, soalnya yang mendadak2 gini emang kemungkinan jadinya besar 🫵🏻 Perjalanan panjang di gunung emang hasilnya antara dua, deket banget atau malah sebaliknya. Ikutan trip ini bener2 tanpa temen yang kenal awalnya, karena emang semendadak itu dan ga sempet ngajak yg kenal, kecuali @abdul_kholiiq yg punya tripnya. Sampe jadi kenal dan akrab sama semuanya. Dari awal malu2 sampe malu2in. Wkwkw btw kemarin rame banget. Total semua sama tim porter yang ikut naik 34 orang! Petjahhh! Dah, sekarang cerita tentang treknya. Trek pegunungan Leuser ini tuh naik turun banget. Ya, namanya juga pegunungan. Jadi puncaknya ga 1, tapi banyaaakkk. Jalan pulang aja masih harus nanjak. Ngelewatin beberapa punggungan, sungai, hutan lumut, savana, telaga yang cantik banget. Definisi kalau kalian mau cari berbagai medan hutan tropis yg semuanya ada, ya di sini sih. Jatuh cinta intinya. Fix ini ga akan jadi pendakian terakhir ke Leuser, ga kapok sama sekali. Kalau ditanya ada keinginan untuk balik lagi? Ada! Apalagi kalau bareng lagi sama temen2 yg ini. Mau banget! Jadi kapan mau ke sini lagi? 🤭

You tour all day, melt snow, crawl into the tent early, and sleep like a rock because uphill hits different in the winter ❄️ No campground noise. No headlamps everywhere. Just the stars, puffy jackets, and that deep satisfaction of earning your turns. Winter camping isn’t about being tough. But once I learned the basics of heat management + moisture control, everything changed. Here’s the truth nobody tells you: 🔥 You don’t need a -30°C sleeping bag
❄️ You don’t need to suffer to have fun
💨 Wind protection matters more than you think
❄️ Cold doesn’t kill trips, moisture does If you follow these 5 rules from my reel: 1. Prioritize R-value over sleeping bag rating
 2. Stay dry (moisture = cold)
 3. Fuel your body to stay warm
 4. Use a hot water bottle heat boost
 5. Shelter smart and block wind

  3. My mental health is in the gutter and it's been like that for a while. Over the last year my anxiety has been at an all time high and my depression at an all time low. Getting up and taking care of myself was a challenge, let alone training and going to school. There were months where I was only able to get myself to the gym once a week. I lacked motivation and a clear goal that I actually believed I could achieve. I started taking antidepressants, forgot a few doses, had a seizure and learned that skipping medication increases the likelihood of having a seizure. I was slowly taken off that medication and put on anti-seizure medication as well. Of course, I eventually also forgot a few doses of my anti-seizure medication and if you couldn't guess, I had another seizure. Turns out when you skip seizure medication it makes it even more likely for you to have a seizure than if you weren't taking it at all. There is no happy ending here. My mental health is only mildly better than it was before. I can't tell if my anxiety meds are helping or making it worse. Theres probably a little bit of brain damage from the seizures, at least that's my reasoning for the fact that slurring words has now become a normal speech pattern of mine. And my neurologist thinks I have a juvenile seizure disorder that appears in the form of short full body muscle jerks. So to all those who've seen me just violently twitch for a sec, sorry for scaring you with that but now I kinda have an answer for why I do that. Moral of the story, DONT FORGET TO TAKE YOUR MEDS. Welcoming suggestions for decorating my pillbox to make it more fun and coquette or suggestions for not forgetting my meds cause why can't I remember. And don't tell me "oh just set an alarm," IT DOESN'T WORK. Idk how y'all do it but I will turn off the notification and literally forget what I'm doing on my way to get the medication (or turn off the notification and go back to sleep 😓). Also, gurl, your anxiety ain't worth a $3000 uber just tell the EMT someone else can take you to the hospital. 🙄 You're not alone 🤍 📸: (1) @gajdaphotography (2) @lenssoul

I’m working on alllllll sorts of pieces in my studio at the moment, preparing for the upcoming @pottersmarketatthemint With the boys back in school, I’m finding myself in the studio full-time during the day for the first time in a year and a half!! While I miss my boys dreadfully, it’s also nice to have the big chunk of focused time to work. But I’ve struggled a little bit to get into a logical groove. My tasks have been a bit all over the place- I want to make all the things all at once! Hahaha! Just trying to give myself a little grace and space, knowing that I’ll eventually get organized. Anyway, here’s a couple new hand built jars that are currently in process. The one on the right has my interpretation of a mourning dove, which is Sammy’s favorite bird. I think he needs to be plumpier next time...

  1. figured I’d post some photos from a recent trip to the Bugaboos with Teya as it was such a meaningful and joy filled trip for me. A couple summers ago when I was climbing in the Bugs, I saw a family camping in Applebee and thought how magical it would be to bring Teya to experience alllll the things Bugs. I teamed up with my good friend Erica (the girls got a real kick out of Erica supergluing the superglue bottle to her thumb) and her daughter Grace from Canmore. The minute we got camp, 900 and something meters later, the girls dropped their packs and started running around, my sore knees looked on in astonishment. Most of their conversations revolved around the candy they planned to trade each other. It was magical. We were super lucky with the weather, clear skies and perfect temps. Teya thrived in the mountains. She was so positive in her attitude and confident in her movement while climbing. We climbed Eastpost, revelled in the wildflowers, ate lots of candy, explored the caves and a glacier and talked about crevasses and the dynamic mountains and their glaciers decline, hung out and lounged at camp like the camp lounging experts that we are. Teya remembered the names of Snowpatch, Bugaboo, Crescent Towers, Eastpost and while we couldn’t see it from camp, Pigeon. I asked if someday she wanted to climbed them all with me and she enthusiastically said ‘Yes Mama’. Highlight of the summer. 🥰🦄🩷🍭 #britishcolumbia #bugaboos #rockclimbing #mountainlove #magic
