Setelah dicita2kan beberapa tahun, akhirnya kesampean juga nyoba jalur Leuser ini dan nyampe ke 3 puncak utamanya dalam 12 hari 😍 Dapet cerah di puncak (p @nadinemerry92 ) dan bisa tahun baruan di sini pula. 💯 Rencana super mendadak karena diajak @abdul_kholiiq @sheltergarut . Tapi emang harus mendadak kayanya, soalnya yang mendadak2 gini emang kemungkinan jadinya besar 🫵🏻 Perjalanan panjang di gunung emang hasilnya antara dua, deket banget atau malah sebaliknya. Ikutan trip ini bener2 tanpa temen yang kenal awalnya, karena emang semendadak itu dan ga sempet ngajak yg kenal, kecuali @abdul_kholiiq yg punya tripnya. Sampe jadi kenal dan akrab sama semuanya. Dari awal malu2 sampe malu2in. Wkwkw btw kemarin rame banget. Total semua sama tim porter yang ikut naik 34 orang! Petjahhh! Dah, sekarang cerita tentang treknya. Trek pegunungan Leuser ini tuh naik turun banget. Ya, namanya juga pegunungan. Jadi puncaknya ga 1, tapi banyaaakkk. Jalan pulang aja masih harus nanjak. Ngelewatin beberapa punggungan, sungai, hutan lumut, savana, telaga yang cantik banget. Definisi kalau kalian mau cari berbagai medan hutan tropis yg semuanya ada, ya di sini sih. Jatuh cinta intinya. Fix ini ga akan jadi pendakian terakhir ke Leuser, ga kapok sama sekali. Kalau ditanya ada keinginan untuk balik lagi? Ada! Apalagi kalau bareng lagi sama temen2 yg ini. Mau banget! Jadi kapan mau ke sini lagi? 🤭

On the bright side going into 3rd year with lots of uni work to be craving on with I can try to tell myself it has kinda come at a “best case scenario” time for me 🤷‍♀️ weirdly, I am psyched to settle into winter training.. it’s going to be new staying within the limited parameters my injury requires.   2. ✅ Ten Year Fog - 7c What incredible moves 🤯 I’m a bit in love with this climb and the sequence. I got some really spectacular air miles working this one and it was good for me to work something with such burly moves at the top. The day I sent my climbing was much smoother than this clip and my beta was refined with a better sequence too (I used a left toe hook at the chains). All and all I’m feeling pretty blown away I’ve had a good week (relative to my level). It’s felt really nice to take bigger falls and fully settle into trying hard without fearing or anticipating the consequences of a fall. This is something that has taken so much work and I feel I have come so far from my first summer of sport climbing. In 2020 I was terrified and often cried when trying things, fear of falling was my biggest limitation.   3. My mental health is in the gutter and it's been like that for a while. Over the last year my anxiety has been at an all time high and my depression at an all time low. Getting up and taking care of myself was a challenge, let alone training and going to school. There were months where I was only able to get myself to the gym once a week. I lacked motivation and a clear goal that I actually believed I could achieve. I started taking antidepressants, forgot a few doses, had a seizure and learned that skipping medication increases the likelihood of having a seizure. I was slowly taken off that medication and put on anti-seizure medication as well. Of course, I eventually also forgot a few doses of my anti-seizure medication and if you couldn't guess, I had another seizure. Turns out when you skip seizure medication it makes it even more likely for you to have a seizure than if you weren't taking it at all. There is no happy ending here. My mental health is only mildly better than it was before. I can't tell if my anxiety meds are helping or making it worse. Theres probably a little bit of brain damage from the seizures, at least that's my reasoning for the fact that slurring words has now become a normal speech pattern of mine. And my neurologist thinks I have a juvenile seizure disorder that appears in the form of short full body muscle jerks. So to all those who've seen me just violently twitch for a sec, sorry for scaring you with that but now I kinda have an answer for why I do that. Moral of the story, DONT FORGET TO TAKE YOUR MEDS. Welcoming suggestions for decorating my pillbox to make it more fun and coquette or suggestions for not forgetting my meds cause why can't I remember. And don't tell me "oh just set an alarm," IT DOESN'T WORK. Idk how y'all do it but I will turn off the notification and literally forget what I'm doing on my way to get the medication (or turn off the notification and go back to sleep 😓). Also, gurl, your anxiety ain't worth a $3000 uber just tell the EMT someone else can take you to the hospital. 🙄 You're not alone 🤍 📸: (1) @gajdaphotography (2) @lenssoul

I’m working on alllllll sorts of pieces in my studio at the moment, preparing for the upcoming @pottersmarketatthemint With the boys back in school, I’m finding myself in the studio full-time during the day for the first time in a year and a half!! While I miss my boys dreadfully, it’s also nice to have the big chunk of focused time to work. But I’ve struggled a little bit to get into a logical groove. My tasks have been a bit all over the place- I want to make all the things all at once! Hahaha! Just trying to give myself a little grace and space, knowing that I’ll eventually get organized. Anyway, here’s a couple new hand built jars that are currently in process. The one on the right has my interpretation of a mourning dove, which is Sammy’s favorite bird. I think he needs to be plumpier next time...

Usually have to pace around or practice breathing to get it back under control 💁‍♀️ The REAL WORK for send-anxiety like this starts before climbing. It starts with internalizing that I’m not here for the send, I’m here for the journey. And it’s fine if I don’t finish this climb today. Who else gets the shakes?   3. Sure, some people full crimp too much. But I will never stop being annoyed when people gate keep full-crimping because of their *perception* of someone’s inexperience. Key word “perception” Like all other exercises, the dose is the poison. Introduce volume and intensity slowly, prioritize recovery, and you’ll be just fine in any grip type. Has anyone ever told you not to full crimp? Was it justified? #trainingforclimbing #bouldering
