  2. ▪️Masque Milano - Tango▪️ My initial reaction when I smelled Tango a few months ago was “wow”. I had similar initial thoughts with Masque Milano’s Mandala (a unique take on incense) and Lost Alice (carrot cakey gourmand), but lets focus on Tango for this post. Tango is warm. Its sweet. Its spicy. Its alluring. Its one of those perfumes that make a statement, and is as perfect for a night out as it is for everyday. The spices in this are black pepper, cardamom and cumin (not a lot of cumin thankfully, blended in well). Along with amber, they are softened and contrasted by rose, vanilla bean, tonka and bergamot. It lasts all day on my skin, and no issues with sillage. I love Masque Milano’s attention to detail with their presentation - the sprayer on Tango is in the top 3 ive sprayed along with Nasomatto’s and Roja’s. Tango is probably the best amber fragrance ive ever come across. Im not usually a big amber lover, but this is a more wearable mass appealing amber, and yet has enough complexity and nuance to satisfy niche fragrance lovers. To me its Cecile Zarokians best fragrance for my taste. A big thanks to @beautinownl for sending me this for review.   3. ▪️Masterclass with Thierry Wasser▪️ There’s only one word I can find to describe this event: Perfect It was such a pleasure to meet Thierry Wasser and chat with him about a variety of topics. I asked him which perfume he wears, and he showed me a decant of Habit Rouge EDT he had in his pocket that he’s worn for over 30 years. The masterclass was focused on the new L’Art Et La Matière Extraits collection, but of course Thierry was kind enough to impart his wisdom on other topics to us as well. My early favourite new extrait was Tonka Sarrapia, it impressed from the opening but the drydown was especially excellent. I also had a chance to try the new fragrance, Fève Gourmand (which is the new version of Gourman Coquin) and to me the main difference was a brighter rose in the beginning but the drydown was very similar to Coquin - I enjoyed it. Thierry also signed my bottle of Tonka Imperiale🙂 This was truly a joyous event to be a part of. It reminds me of a day by the pool and it's exactly what I'll be wearing and doing today! Banana notes can be tricky for me but they did such an amazing job with the balance of the banana here. Its sweet, fruity, and not overly ripe. Paired with the coconut, you do get a slight sunscreen like facet. That profile can be tricky for me, like banana notes, but it just works for me here. It's all balanced so well with the other notes. It's also a transformative scent. That sunscreen element subsides a bit when the rum, marshmallow, and jasmine in the heart emerges. It's such a fun and delicious combo. The base does an amazing job balancing the other notes as well. It’s warm and woody with notes of benzoin, vanilla, and a amazingly smooth sandalwood note. It's a mouthwatering type of scent and I'm not surprised that this one has been a fan favorite since the release of the vacay travel sets last summer. It opens sweet and bright with notes of lemon, sugar, and bergamot. The citrus has the perfect amount of tanginess. Those elements are amped up a bit from a use of raspberry and red fruit notes. The sugar balances the punchiness from the citrus and red fruits, giving it an incredibly sugared effect. That sweetness lingers through the wear as it becomes more vanillic on the dry down. The dry down is warm and smooth with notes of benzoin, vanilla, and the kayali signature accord. It's such a delicious, fun, and carefree kind of scent - love it! I was so excited when it was announced that the Vacation In A Bottle collection was going to be debuting in a 50ml size. I had to get them all! I use my vacay travels so much and run through them like nobody's business. I love this line and they all are so perfect for spring and summer. My favorite from the line is Maldives In A Bottle. This one is able to be fresh but also creamy and smooth at the same time - I love the profile. Lemon and starfruit gives a bright and fresh introduction. There's a crisp element from rosemary. It adds some nice aromatics and adds to the fresh element as well. As I've had Maldives for a while I've grown to appreciate the apple custard note more. This note is delicious and gives it an extra fruity and tropical profile. Its also a creamy fruit. Paired with the coconut milk, it adds such a beautiful smooth and creaminess. Just like the Maldives, the florals used are exotic and tropical. The ylang is rich and sweet - its gorgeous. The base has some grounding woody notes and some warmth from vanilla. I love guaiac wood and love that it was used here. I find it to be such a smooth woody note and it plays so well with the creamy dry down. Which 50ml are y'all getting?
