  1. I was tempted to say this is the best indian food in Austin But there are still a few places besides @badootaaustin I need to try before I feel comfortable extending that title. What I can say is it is a must try for anyone who enjoys indian food. It’s hyper specific, hyper regional cuisine that is heavily doused in love and care. The owner could night find his home states food in Texas so he brought it into reality and I’m extremely glad he did. They do preorders and I suggest you hit their website to get some this weekend.

  3. After reading about this place for half a year I’m glad I got to try it @analiz_taqueria is a triumph in simplicity. Everything seems so easy so uncomplicated, so it’s shocking how much flavor they wring out of each ingredient. The store is simple the staff are attentive and the awards are a great excuse to make a visit to the consistently under appreciated rio grande valley I’ll be here all week and can’t wait to see what I find

  3. Saturday July 5th turned our world upside down. Our property was hit by the central Texas flooding. We immediately evacuated Lettie and our dogs and cats and stayed behind to work through securing the rest of the animals. We thought we were saying goodbye to the donkeys and ducks but were able to make an evacuation plan at the last minute. Our property has severe damage but our home was spared (by 1.5 ft!) Feeling grateful for surviving, grateful for our neighbors, grateful to still have a roof over our heads, grateful that our loved ones are safe. Feeling heartbroken over the damage to a place we have poured so much love into and completely devastated for the nightmare so many others are experiencing. It is unimaginable. Thank you to everyone who has reached out and offered support/help. Y’all are amazing. Adam and I have been through a lot in our relationship and one thing is for sure, there’s no one else I’d rather face these challenges with. I’m so thankful.

  2. UPDATE: @southwestair has agreed to cover the damages! 🙏🏼 thank you all for sharing and commenting! Hopefully this contributes to airlines taking better care of gear across the board. Yesterday I flew with my @epiphone White Wolfe guitar on @southwestair to Vegas. I followed every guideline for traveling with an instrument: hard-shell flight case, checked in properly, fragile stickers, and paid the new bag fees. When I opened the case, the headstock was completely broken off. I filed a report at the airport, provided photos, proof of value, and repair estimates. Despite following their process exactly, I was told they are not responsible for anything inside the case and that instruments are considered “fragile items.” If airlines can damage professional-grade instruments, charge us extra to check them, and then refuse to take responsibility, it puts every traveling musician at risk. This is not just about one guitar. It is about protecting the tools of our craft. Southwest Airlines, you can set a better example by doing the right thing. Cover the repair costs. Do better for all of us who fly with our gear. PS. For everyone asking, yes I loosened the strings.

I’ve been asked to talk about the Austin aquarium for so long.. we finally trekked up to North Austin to talk about why you probably shouldn’t be coming here.. it looks fun being able to see and touch all these cool animals but just look them up on the news and you will be convinced otherwise.. if not to protect the animals don’t go to protect yourself and your children… a lot of the enclosures made me so sad it looked like the animals truly need to escape.. a lot of the workers there are nice, well meaning, and just trying to get a paycheck in this economy… But it’s clear that the owners don’t want to provide these facilities with the things that are necessary to keep all these exotic animals and customers safe #austin #aquarium #exoticpets #news #texas
