This challenge was the thing I was the most nervous for coming into the competition but surprisingly it was kind of a total blast. This look was one of my favorite things I brought to Drag Race because I think basically every member of my extended drag family had some hand in it. I designed it with @lucylips.drag then @itsbrendano constructed everything. @melodyfromab0ve and @sam_drogeny stoned and figured out the bangles. @lachucharude made the spike cuffs and anklets. @norvinadubois let me borrow her choker. @theecalicolby made me a ziplock full of hair swirls. It really does take a big gay village ✨ Photos and Jean Paul Goude inspired collage edits by the genius @ericrichardmagnussen ⚡️ These might be my favorite images I’ve ever been a part of.   2. I have a very feel good story to share. For those of you who don’t know, I’m adopted. Growing up I always had an ever present curiosity about my birth parents… what they looked like , their mannerisms , what I might have inherited personality wise… and who the hell gave me my insufferable but endearing traits of stubborness and insisting on doing things my own way ??? After much searching and a string of fateful events , I found my birth mother about 8 years ago. It was such a gift & I was eager to find out more about my history, and though chances seemed extremely slim, I was hoping that I could someday find my birth father as well. My beloved friends gifted me with an ancestory test & it was there that I found out that I was half Jewish & according to 23andme, that my genetic muscle composition is “common in elite athletes” (Currently attempting to complete 1 pull up at the gym 💅🏻) I waited eagerly for anybody on my Jewish fathers side to pop up on the site. It was crickets for a few years and then FINALLY, 2 months ago, an uncle popped up. I immediately wrote them, and as the message went out into the ether, hoped for the best. I woke up to the most welcoming message from my uncle and a few minutes later , a very surprised & excited text from my birth dad. It was a total joy and such a trip to hop on the phone with him. He had no idea I existed and was so excited to get to know me. This is a best case scenario for adopted kids and I know this isn’t the case for everyone. I don’t take it for granted. Two weeks later, i got to meet Brian and my half brother Zach in LA. It was an incredible experience and I found myself in awe of how much we had in common. For the first time in my life, I finally got to see a more complete picture of who I was. What a gift! I’m so grateful to my mom and dad and for raising me with so much love & support. Now i get to see my family expand more. Hopefully they are down with my “insufferable” but VERY endearing traits. 🧸happy thanksgiving y’all ♥️

  3. Last day of the year!!!✨ Wild. Time feels so weird lately. In some ways it feels like the year flew by, in other ways it feels like it’s been the longest one ever! Whatever it was, it was definitely a really significant one for me. I grew a lot! Creative-career wise, I feel like I’m finally finding my footing in things. Been making the transition to doing more commercial work and it’s been really exciting! As a freelance creative, it’s been my best year yet! 💪🏽✨And while that’s all been very amazing, the truth is it was also an incredibly difficult year too! The marathon that has been this Pandemic definitely started to wear down on me in 2021. It’s a very tiring circumstance that we’re all in. And that can get so heavy at times!! So I’ve been sitting with the question, How do we hold on to our light in times when everything feels so dark? 🥲 Still very much figuring that out, but I do think a crucial part of getting through all of this is our ability to celebrate and savor those everyday wins. Whether that’s having a nice meal, a good conversation, a laugh with your family n friends.. these are ultimately the things that will keep ur light shinin💡✨I think we just have to remember to take that time to really sit in the joy we feel as those moments come along. Consciously marinating in it. Because our minds can often be so quick to move on to the next thing! I think we sometimes feel as though joy is just something you wait for and it just happens to you. But what I’m learning is that joy is something you cultivate. It’s a daily practice! Lol low key it’s work!! But it’s also worth it.✨ Big wins are wonderful. But ya know what, as we begin this new year, I’m looking forward to practicing habitual gratitude for all the every day wins and joys. ❤️Eskeddditttt!!!✨
