  3. This year, I skipped the parade and hung out at the civic center station for a couple hours in the afternoon. I wanted to capture how public transit intersects with Pride weekend. People waiting, meeting each other, going back home tired, arriving for the festival or parade, taking a moment to decompress - all of this along with the burst of color that Pride brought to the rather monotonous looking stations is what interested me as a photographer. In the coming days, I want to let you all into the process of how I composed and recorded 16 songs across three countries and a dozen distinct musical traditions.   3. surprise. san francisco, we’re turning this 59 year old space on haight street into an independent online radio station and community hangout spot. last week, we signed a lease on the last fotomat in sf and have been secretly transforming this vacant space into a third space for local and international artists. while we had to put the club project on pause due to permitting and structural issues out of our control, here’s what we’ve been working on in the meantime. with so few artist-owned spaces left in sf, and a growing trend of local government and corporate entities partnering to profit off dance music and its aesthetics without meaningfully investing in the existing community, we believe a space like this is essential to protecting and uplifting the scene here. this is only possible because of your continued support and belief in us. we’re excited for what the future has in store. soft opening tomorrow, saturday march 21st from 2pm–8pm at 1800 haight street. rest of march+april programming will be announced next week.
