As someone who went to school for this shit (both kinesiology & now food) it hurts my heart and I empathize with my female clients who “never know what to do.” There so much information out there that’s contradictory. So what do you do? Research and verify the info! Just as it’s important to do this in other areas of your life, make sure you’re not just following someone blinding.   3. These glutes are not performative. I get asked what my routine is and it’s this: consistent lifting of the same movements (or movement patterns at the very least) and progressively overloading. meaning I am getting stronger over time and not doing the same weight. I can do: 405 on hip thrust, 115 on lunges, and RDL 190 lbs. & that’s still on the “lighter side” for advanced lifters. meaning the next step for me is to keep doing what i am doing and increase intensity week by week (when the variables align and I’m not killing my body) I rest 2-3 days a week. Not resting at all is killing your growth and progress.

  3. I wrecked the car at the drift track, and honestly, it really got me down. But then I came across this verse, and it gave me peace in the middle of the mess. Philippians 4:6-7 says: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Even when things fall apart, God’s peace is still available to us.
