  3. I’ve known I was adopted my whole life. I was blessed with the most amazing adoptive parents, who always shared my story with honesty, love, and support. They’ve been my rocks through every step of this journey. I truly always wondered what this moment would feel like. Nothing could have prepared me for it. Meeting my biological mother, Mariana, for the first time was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. From the moment we met, I felt her warmth, her love, and the deep care she has carried for me all these years. Since I was a little girl, I dreamed about this day, and somehow it was even more than I imagined. Throughout this journey, I felt an overwhelming sense of love and support, but most of all, I felt her longing to know that I was okay. What started as a curiosity became a chance for both of us to finally have answers and to know, without any doubt, that we are okay. There is so much peace in that. Not only do I feel complete, but I feel a sense of peace knowing she does too. I will forever be grateful to Mariana for giving me the gift of life, and for the strength, love, and sacrifice that made this possible. This is just the beginning of our forever relationship.
