  1. Hi, this is Pam’s mom @napkinapocalypse .. it’s taken me a while to think of what to write on her behalf and i’m not certain I know exactly what I want to say but we lost Pam last week. It all happened fast. I noticed she started drinking a lot more water so I took her in to get checked out. we did a blood and urine test to find she had a bad UTI with her kidney levels elevated. So the assumption was she had a bad bladder infection that spread to her kidneys. she was put on antibiotics and 24 hours later she wasn’t getting better. I took her back in for a recheck and her kidney values had sky rocketed. so either something else was going on or she wasn’t on the right medication. she was taken straight from there to stay the nite at a hospital where she was monitored and given IV fluids and a different injectable antibiotic. The next morning they rechecked her blood and she wasn’t getting any better. The dr did an ultrasound to find her abdomen riddled with cancer that had been empowered by the IV fluids. Even if we could get her to come back from the kidney failure chemo would be our only treatment option and for the type of cancer she had it has a low success rate. in two days her health had decreased to the point where the dr didn’t feel she would return to a quality of life worth living again and we had to let her go. we’re still learning to live without her. she is everything to our family. I’m not certain what will become of her instagram or how @pamwear will evolve, but we’re still here! We where sitting up on the mountain trying to call the hounds of a hole but the dogs where still hunting and refused to come out of there So right at dark I took the hunter and we rode out of there Fred stayed up on the mountain that night without a sleeping bag in while below freezing temperatures refusing to leave without doing everything he could to get his dogs home Later I was able to hiking in there and find all the dogs and bring them back to get warm and fed #houndhunting #mountion #Horse #backcountry #sunset #guiding

  1. Trapped a male juvenile red tail yesterday, 920g off the trap. I have never flown a male bird before, always larger females, so I’m going to give him a chance. I try to keep stress to minimum in beginning, with manning (training) in low lights. Sessions are short, with the goal of him just hanging out on glove with minimal bating (trying to fly away).   2. My 2023 high country buck, killed with an open sight muzzleloader at about 12,500 ft. This is a no name unit and tag, never seen a buck like this here in 5 years but we turned him up because we grinded! Killed him 17 miles and 5000 ft elevation above the trailhead. Conditions were horrible raining 7 of the 9 day hunt, and some days dropped multiple inches of rain. I logged over 100 miles and nearly 27,000 ft of elevation gain on this hunt. I’m still in shock and grateful this happened considering some MAJOR hurtles on this hunt. Just never give up! Huge thank you for my badass hunting partner @m.kaupper who busted his ass with me and grinded it out until the mission was complete! Mike also killed a great buck!   3. @ty.glenn801 isn’t on social media much… so here he is!! Ty’s otc archery bomber. Ty is my main hunting partner and I can tell you this buck was very hard earned after an extreme effort from Ty all season! True team effort on this giant. At about 9 am yesterday morning I caught a glimpse of this buck glassing long range but he quickly went out of my view. I told Ty I had just found a giant framed buck and just stayed put to see if he came back into view and Ty bolted to try and keep tabs on him from a different angle. Ty was able to find him and put him to bed. Unfortunately, he got bumped hard by another hunter and bolted seemingly to the next county. Ty and I glassed all day from various vantages and couldn’t turn him back up… our buddies @muleyarcher @thathungarianguy joined us for the evening hunt and about 30 minutes before dark @thathungarianguy caught a flash of the buck aways away (much further than we thought he’d go). Chris and I stayed back to watch this side and Ty and @muleyarcher took off after him and with the help of Bryan, Ty was able to find him and put an arrow in him at 50 yards. Ty made a difficult STEEP uphill shot count and the rest is history! Congrats brother! Very well deserved! #bbd #hoyttaggedout #hoytbowhunting #muledeer #bigbuck #otc #publicland #teamwork #rut

I don’t know what we ever did to deserve this cute family-owned spot that is 100% vegan 🌱 but I love coming here for the fresh Mediterranean flavors that don’t disappoint Keep in mind that the dinner and lunch menus are slightly different at @kosharimama , so check out both before deciding when to go! My all-time favorite items from here are the Moussaka (for the eggplant lovers!), Ckn Salad Sandwich (think classic chicken sandwich on a sub roll but with a pop more of flavor) and Konafa (warm sweet custard with crunchy shredded kataifi). My husband is obsessed with the Mushroom Shawerma that is covered in a really flavorful garlic tahini sauce and I’d recommend the Egyptian Meatballs too if you like dill, they really held their structure well I couldn’t believe they were gluten-free. This is also a great spot to get a few small plates- the Falafel, Muhammara and Cucumber Mint Dip are my favorites from that section of the menu. I always save room for dessert here too because their Konafa is so good and their dessert specials are always really good too! @kosharimama has wine, beer and some booths/tables so this is a great spot to bring a friend to catch-up and try something new!   2. a must-visit weekend stop for that perfect sweet or savory treat, @michettebakery in Somerville recently started adding vegan options to their menu and I’m obsessed 🥐 the vegan options available when I visited were the Cinnamon Roll, Pain au Chocolat, Banana Bread and Toasted Oat Cookie but I’ve also seen Croissants and Chocolate Croissants on their menu in the past! I recommend ordering in advance here to make sure you snag one of the vegan items before they run out! I was so excited to see the addition of @brazilgreenrestaurant to the @nibblekitchensomerville space inside @bow.market 1. Everything on the menu is vegan except for a few items that are labeled vegetarian so about 95% of the menu is vegan! 2. Our favorites were the Pastels made with Carne that were crispy on the outside and savory and meaty on the inside. For entrees we liked both but the Brazilian Shepherd’s Pie really stood out and we couldn’t stop eating it, it was such a comfort meal with the creamy yuca and hearty soy meat! 3. Brazil Green is only open Wednesday and Friday and I recommend checking their page for hours!
