  2. Core memory from my NFL career- getting to run out of the tunnel with my brother-in-law Senior Chief Petty Officer Burrows , who served 2 tours in Iraq and 3 different long submarine tours. Grateful for men and women like him who have sacrificed so much for our country’s freedom. Fun fact, my wife’s grandpa Lee Burrows also served in the Navy and went on two tours in WW11 and the Korea war. Her Great Great Gpa Lee Burrows Sr served in the Navy and fought in WW1.   1. Many of you have driven by this beautiful church on your way to Ocean City, Maryland, but do you know the fascinating history behind St. Peter’s Church? Let’s go back to 1639 when Reverend John Altham founded The first Catholic congregation on Kent Island. In 1760, Edward Neale’s will left £50 to purchase land and build a new church near Queenstown, Maryland. Five years later, the Catholic community here established St. Peter’s parish. £28 from Neale’s will was used to purchase 1.5 acres of land, and the rest went towards building a small brick church on the site, which opened sometime before 1784. By 1819, the congregation had outgrown the original structure. Construction of a new church started in 1823 and was completed in 1827, with major additions like the Nave and Vestibule being added in 1877. The original church from the 1700s was converted into a parsonage but later demolished in 1960. Now here is a fun fact to remember next time you drive down to the beach! During the 1950s, the state of Maryland made plans to widen Route 50 and tear down the church. Thankfully, the church was saved after an agreement was made to build the brick wall you see today between the church and Route 50. Ryan knows what's at stake with our waters, and he never misses a chance to do his part in making things better.   1. Hi, this is Pam’s mom @napkinapocalypse .. it’s taken me a while to think of what to write on her behalf and i’m not certain I know exactly what I want to say but we lost Pam last week. It all happened fast. I noticed she started drinking a lot more water so I took her in to get checked out. we did a blood and urine test to find she had a bad UTI with her kidney levels elevated. So the assumption was she had a bad bladder infection that spread to her kidneys. she was put on antibiotics and 24 hours later she wasn’t getting better. I took her back in for a recheck and her kidney values had sky rocketed. so either something else was going on or she wasn’t on the right medication. she was taken straight from there to stay the nite at a hospital where she was monitored and given IV fluids and a different injectable antibiotic. The next morning they rechecked her blood and she wasn’t getting any better. The dr did an ultrasound to find her abdomen riddled with cancer that had been empowered by the IV fluids. Even if we could get her to come back from the kidney failure chemo would be our only treatment option and for the type of cancer she had it has a low success rate. in two days her health had decreased to the point where the dr didn’t feel she would return to a quality of life worth living again and we had to let her go. we’re still learning to live without her. she is everything to our family. I’m not certain what will become of her instagram or how @pamwear will evolve, but we’re still here! I try to keep stress to minimum in beginning, with manning (training) in low lights. Sessions are short, with the goal of him just hanging out on glove with minimal bating (trying to fly away).
