  3. Not my best photo op but just wanted to let yall know I had a run in with a SUV on the way to work early this week. A neck fracture required surgery and things are improving. Still don't have a lot of feeling in my lower body but rehab is next. I'll update more once they get me moved to rehab. Appreciate all the thoughts.

  2. Every damn day. . And my desk job is bike-related! I can't imagine making this little money doing something I hated. . Oh wait... I don't have to imagine... I can remember. My worst: having Dennis Rodman say to my face "how do you f😨k her, she's so tall" (I'm 5'11 and was in heels) OR, having my boss try to get me to use a prescribed cup at work 🤨😒🙄. That said, THE WEEKEND IS HERE and those are pretty light stories. . Once a bouncer tossed a guy out of the club and his head hit one of our driver's cars; dented tf out of the passenger door🥴😩😆.   1. My sweet little mama made a graceful exit and soared to the heavens last night. She was present and fiesty to her final breath. She has been in hospice for a week. Yesterday evening, she told me she wouldn't make it through the night. She made a plan to use the bathroom, brush her teeth, get back in bed, take her medicine, and said, "I'm going to finish this thing." She fully stepped into the dying process, and several hours later, she peacefully flew away. I'm glad I was able to be with her all the way through. I am devastated, I feel knocked to the floor and somehow lifted up at the same time. Life is a complicated, challenging, painful, exciting, wonderful, and beautiful journey. I find comfort knowing she is reunited with my sister Melody. Soar on my little mama.

Somewhere along my grieving journey, I decide the best way to properly honor my sister is to create a joyful life, and live it for the both of us. I carry Melody in my heart wherever I go.   3. We travel 21 days and approximately 350 miles through the Arctic along the Noatak River, from near the headwaters to the Inuit village of Noatak. We fight off a young grizzly on day 2 to save our food supply. We see moose, caribou, two grizzlies a wolverine. Lots of birds, including the Arctic tern and the Arctic swan. We had weather from hot and sunny to rain, wind, and freezing temperatures. Annette and I have chilblains on our feet. Our tent zippers stopped working on day 1. We had one working zipper most of the time, and the wind blew it open on our last night and drenched us with rain. We were in the vastness of the natural world with only the sights and sounds of nature. We didn't see any people for 19 days. As we approach the village of Noatak, we see young men in boats heading upstream to hunt. An epic adventure. Nature unaltered by people is absolute perfection. May we always preserve and protect our wild places. #alpackaraft

  2. Long Post Alert: Happy Monday! First, Thank y’all. We love y’all. We (@benimbleco dba @weliketopardi) had a blast putting the inaugural Black Innovation Week together! We’re grateful for the responsibility and opportunity. We do not take the support lightly. We are all collectively making history 🥺💐 Because of you, we gave $22K Total to 12 Black Start Up Entrepreneurs! This is why we Pardi. Y’all looked beautiful all week! Yet, we certainly had some missteps and things to sort out. And we own that 100%. And we’re absolutely motivated and encouraged to improve. The First time is no excuse.
