  2. A esta vaquerita casi casi la estoy mirando dandole cañon al tacón de esas botas mañana en su pachangona! Esta es Mei Lien. Tuvimos dos sessiones por que a medias de la primera comenzo a llover y no quedé tranquila de que les habia dado lo mejor de mi asi que les pregunté si podiamos hacer una corta session otro dia despues.   3. Alguito SUPER diferente a lo que estoy acostumbrada! Y que si la regaba? Y que si no me salia como me imaginé que las cosas saldrian? Y que si la nieve no se mira chida? Bueno, para cubrir y por si salia bien o no esta parte de la session que nomas en mi mente me imaginé y que neta no hicimos pruebas previas asta que ya comenzamos a tomar las fotos de adeveras, tambien le tomé fotos a la quince en otra parte. Ya saben; asi como para decir “pues las fotos de la nieve salieron bien culey, pero que tal estas otras en el zaguan?” 🤣😂. Les voy a ser bien honesta, aunque nieve dentro de un barn solo lo he visto en las peliculas del nacimiento, la verdad me encantarón!!!! Mi vision era mucho mas simple y romantica y ligera de lo que terminó saliendo de aqui! Me siento orgullosisima. Pero en esta si les confiezo. Todo salió de pura chiripada! Aunque mis clientes hallan pensado que yo ya me las comia ardiendo, la neta no sabia ni que carajos canijos estaba yo haciendo!   3. Had no idea when I opened up my bottle of @epicbrewingslc Pecan Pie Big Bad Baptist Imperial Stout, but it’s Pie N Beer day today! I liked this brew a lot, there’s vanilla, coffee, dark chocolate, pecan, cinnamon, burnt/charred malt, whiskey and oak flavors here. To me the flavors were balanced with no one flavor overpowering the others.   1. Making Challah: until I made the challah recipe from @adeenasussman they never turned out.. mine were usually too dry and cake like. This time it turned out perfect… the only thing I did was convert from tablespoons and cups to grams so I could weigh out more precisely the ingredients. I cooked it in a convection oven at 425F for 15 minutes. If I had left it in longer it would have been too browned on the outside. The next batch I cooked at 415F for the same amount of time and the colour was a bit better.   2. XO Sauce doesn’t just have to be used in Asian dishes. Here I used my XO (which I finished with some Sichuan Chili Crisp from @bubblegoods ) two different ways. In the first photo, I used it with amazing Vermont farm fresh tomatoes and locally made burrata with different basils from my garden. The second dish is my take on one of my absolute favourite dishes that @douglasswilliams had on his menu @midaboston which was escarole in a Parmesan brodo. A dish that is so addictive!   1. Famous Sachertorte at Café Sacher Wien? Yes please 🍫❤️ If you visit Vienna, coffee houses are a must-go. Their coffee house culture is unique to the city; elegant, historic, high-end, variety of freshly made cakes & pastries, and just pure delicious! Café Sacher (in Hotel Sacher @sacherhotels ) is one of the most famous, and don’t be surprised if there is a line to get in. My suggestion is go early when they open, order a Sachertorte, and pair it with a Viennese Melange for your breakfast 😋 (Hubby had eggs tho lol) Sachertorte - dense chocolate cake with a thin layer of apricot jam in between two halves, coated in dark chocolate on the top and sides. Served with unsweetened whipped cream. Viennese Melange (there are some variations)- one shot of espresso, steamed milk with froth, and whipped cream. “Oh, that he may not discredit me tonight!” – These words of Prince Metternich of Austria marked the beginning of the story of the Original Sachertorte in 1832. The court of Prince Metternich had requested a dessert for a special occasion, but the chef was ill at the time, so 16-year-old apprentice Franz Sacher filled in. The cake he created could not have been more delicious.
 The Original Sachertorte is still hand-made using Franz Sacher’s original recipe to this day, and is best enjoyed with a dollop of unsweetened whipped cream.   3. A visiting angel returned to heaven today. 💔Chester had just turned two when we discovered he was born with deformed kidneys. The last five months have been filled with anguish as we witnessed his journey into stage four kidney failure. He was a total mama’s boy, and I loved him like no other.   3. Even when you know something is coming, it can still be a bit of a surprise when it actually happens. I wasn’t expecting word that my Dad died today even though I’ve been preparing for it for months. But word came tonight that he slipped the surly bonds of Earth, this time on God’s own wings. Dad was an aviator. A Vietnam veteran. An avid reader. A sports fan. A car buff. A Christian (although he was more likely to show his faith by quietly serving as a church elder or usher than waiving a Bible around). He was a good man and a great dad. I’ve always been as proud of him as a son could be, and I know he was proud of me. I’m gonna miss you, Dad. But I’ll see you again one day.
