  1. My principal told me, I just needed to get thicker skin. Even though I was receiving daily death threats, getting jumped in school hallways, and while walking to, and from school. It got so bad that I ended up going to court, and getting restraining orders. I had never felt more alone in my life. The superintendent asked me “what did you do to deserve what these people are doing to you?” I had to drop, and switch classes to get away from these people. I almost didn’t go to prom. I had extra security at my prom. I ended up doing both day, and night school at the same time, to get my high school diploma so I could graduate early. I didn’t attend my graduation. My dad took pictures of me in the front of the school while the ceremony happened out back. To this day I have gotten attacked while out at bars, and harassed at restaurants. I became so used to victim blaming, that when I finally shared my story I was shocked with all the support, and kindness I had received. Words really can’t do justice for what you have all done for me. Thank you for your continued support, and for just letting me be me.
