Very slow fashion. I sew historical clothing tinged with a modern aesthetic. Obsessive about details. Dragon lair of antique clothes and such.

  3. Here to be your big sis that I never had in this situation ❤️‍🩹 I was made delulu by all the positive interfaith content online and want to contribute a more realistic story. I hope it helps even just one person. (Also if you're new here, hi, I usually post about sustainable fashion/travel/running, so come hang out if you're into that 🤗) -------- Original threads post/TLDR: Every year around Ramadan, I see a lot of content about interfaith relationships, and after having been in a failed 6.5-year one, I’m here to say this: If your partner is asking you to convert, change the way you dress, or otherwise appease their family, get out. Your relationship can be the most loving otherwise, but this already shows that you aren’t their priority—their family is. There is love and connection everywhere, you don’t need to go through this. I was slut-shamed, called “the path of chaos and destruction,” and shunned by my ex’s parents. I was a secret for 4 years and then they refused to meet me for 2.5 years. When I finally did meet them, they said they didn’t want us together because they thought I was going to hell, our future kids would go to hell, and they would go to hell for letting us be together. (The ironic part is that our relationship was technically halal as I was raised Christian). I was so in love and convinced I would marry this person and made delulu by all the successful interfaith relationships on social media (you don’t see the failed ones). If I could go back and tell myself one thing, it would be that no “special connection” in the world is worth enduring abuse for. I would’ve left sooner instead of spending years hoping that closed-minded people would come around. I deserved better, and you deserve better, too. #interfaithrelationship #interfaithlove #relationshiplessons
