  2. 👽 Happy 4/20 👽 Did you know hops and weed are extremely similar? Cannabis and Humulus Lupulus (hops) have extremely similar organoleptic properties involving taste and smell- this is because of the terpene or terpenoid compounds found in both plants. Flavors like pine, citrus, floral, and fruit can be found in both hops and cannabis due to specific terpenes. It’s believed that different terpenes in cannabis can affect your mood and sense of relief- for example the compound lemonene is known to provide an uplifting high- this compound is also found in many varieties of hops known to give an intense citrus flavor and aroma. I always like to pair delicious IPAs with my cannabis - today I’m drinking @breweryommegang Neon Rainbows - a New England IPA with 5 different varieties of hops paired with a pink Panda Puffs Kaiser Roll @kaiserrollz303 😋

This beer centric festival originated in 1810 to celebrate the marriage of Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen. Originally a horse race, it has since evolved into a multi week festival running from mid September to the first Sunday in October. I love to celebrate Oktoberfest - each year you can catch me in my dirndl drinking a Maß (liter) of Oktoberfest beer over at @bierstadtlager 🍺 I would love to attend the real thing one day!
