I kept thinking: this is about disability. About being created, used, discarded, and still finding a way to love the world. Victor made the creature and then discarded him. He did not create the creature out of love he did it for domination. But when Elizabeth looked him in the eyes he began the human he was truly meant to be. that the act of being seen truly seen is its own resurrection.The creature was in harmony and nature. If eyes are the windows to the soul, Elizabeth truly created him when she stared into his eyes. It cracked open his soul. And he was able to be a part of the world as the spirit of the forest. And again he was humanized when another disabled person saw him - beyond his pain. Beyond his identity. They both saw his spirit. And he was not the monster. Victor was. Are you a chef or do you love to cook & feed others? If we contribute the ingredientes could you make meals for our distro? Are you a baker? If we gave you leftover fruit could you bake treats? Could you do pick ups or deliveries to make sure no supply goes to waste? Can you knit or sew? Are you locked in to resources that can be shared? Are you organized? Could you join an assembly line of packaging meal boxes or hygiene packs? Are you skilled at extreme couponing? Could you collect hygiene supplies, home items, and food to donate? Does a CVS love to see you coming? Do spreadsheets make you gleam inside? Are you an administrative professional? Are you excellent at planning? Are you an idea human or more of an executor? Are you solid at social media? Could you volunteer to make posts? Are you an artist who is able to raffle to raise funds?
