  1. When we became licensed foster parents in 2020, we didn’t know what to expect. We just knew that there was a huge need with 400,000 kids in the US alone without a permanent home and we wanted to help. When we received the calls for Kenna and Addison, we never knew they would permanently become a part of our family, but we are so grateful they did. We are so proud of our two girls and how far they’ve come over the last four years. We are blown away by the things they do every day. The way they put on a show for us with their dances, the faces they make and their sense of humor. They also challenge us as parents, but they help make us better parents. And they’ve inspired us to help grow Bananas Foster and help foster kids all over the world. Like we always say with our teams, it’s all about focusing on one fan at a time.   3. There would be no Savannah Bananas and no Banana Ball, if it wasn’t for the Gastonia Grizzlies. I had just torn my shoulder and my baseball career was over. I didn’t know what I was going to do. But then I got offered the job as GM of the Gastonia Grizzlies. I was 23 years old, and the team only had 200 fans coming to their games and had lost over $100,000 the previous year. The only reason I got offered the job is because no one with experience and a track record wanted it. But I said, Yes! I was up for the challenge. It was harder than I could ever imagine to convince fans to come to our games. But it’s here where I learned how to make baseball fun and put the fans first. @emcole3 and @jaredaorton joined me and we grew so much together. We tried everything in Gastonia from Flatulence Fun Nights, to Pregnant Nights, to Midnight Madness games. This is where our players first danced and where we started to go all in on the fan experience. It was 8 years of learning and experimenting in Gastonia before Emily, Jared and I started our new team in Savannah. Our time in Gastonia gave us the courage to think bigger and start a team from scratch…and the rest is history.

Dairy-Free Truffle Mashed Potatoes with Chives ⸻ Ingredients: • 2 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks • 4 cloves garlic, peeled • 1 cup low-sodium bone broth (I like @kettleandfire ) • 4 tbsp vegan butter (or regular butter, to taste) • 4 tbsp vegan cream cheese • 1–2 tbsp fresh chives, finely chopped • 1–2 tsp truffle oil, to taste (start with less) • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste • Salt, to taste (see note below) ⸻ Instructions: 1. Boil the Potatoes & Garlic • Place the potato chunks and garlic cloves in a large pot. • Cover with cold water and add a generous pinch of salt. • Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. • Cook for about 15–20 minutes or until potatoes are fork-tender. • Drain well. 2. Mash the Potatoes • Return the drained potatoes and garlic to the pot or a large bowl. • Add vegan butter, vegan cream cheese, and about ¼ cup of the bone broth to start. • Mash with a potato masher or mix with a hand mixer until smooth. • Gradually add more broth to reach your desired creaminess. 3. Flavor & Finish • Stir in the chopped chives and truffle oil (start with 1 tsp and taste before adding more). • Season with freshly ground black pepper and salt, to taste. 4. Serve Warm • Optionally garnish with extra chives or a light drizzle of truffle oil. ⸻ Note: I personally served this with caviar, which adds saltiness, so I used less salt in my version. If you’re not using caviar, season the mash as usual with salt to taste.

  1. God Revealed the Roots of Their Pain and Brought Healing 🙌🔥 In downtown Orlando, we approached a group of four—three young men and one girl who was trying to live and present herself as a boy. The Holy Spirit led me to speak words of knowledge and truth over each of them, and you could see the conviction begin to touch their hearts. I anointed them with oil and prayed for every single one. One of the boys, just 15 years old, was hardened by life. You could see the anger and murderous thoughts all over him, a spirit of death and destruction trying to take his life. As I prayed, I rebuked that spirit and declared life, freedom, and peace over him. But the main encounter was with the girl. The Lord showed me she had been touched the wrong way by a family member or close family friend. When I spoke it, she confirmed it was true. That moment revealed the root of why she was battling with confusion and presenting herself as a boy. With conviction, she said out loud, “I’m a girl, not a boy,” out of respect for what God was doing in that moment. I told her God still has a future for her—that one day she will have a husband and children, and her story will be redeemed. She agreed, received prayer, and was anointed with oil. Seeds of healing and restoration were planted that night, and the power of the Holy Spirit was undeniable. She Got Convicted, Was Brought to Tears and Left the Club 🙌 In downtown Orlando, I interviewed a young man and asked him to read John 14:15: “If you love me, keep my commandments.” After reading it, I asked him, “Do you really love Jesus?” He admitted honestly, “No.” I asked him if he believed he’d go to heaven if he died right now, and he said no—he believed he’d go to hell. He admitted it was scary and that he thinks about it often. Right there, I prayed for him, and a seed was planted in his heart. 🌱 As I turned to his group and asked if anyone else wanted prayer, one young woman stepped forward. She was already convicted by what had just happened. Tears began streaming down her face as the Holy Spirit touched her, and she began to encounter deliverance right there on the street. Her boyfriend quickly grew angry, confronting me and trying to defend her. I stood firm in truth and told him, “I’m married with four kids. I’m not here to hit on her. And until you marry her, that’s not your woman—she belongs to God first. She is God’s daughter.” The moment I said that, he grew even more furious, and the demonic began to manifest. Still, I prayed for her as she cried and received from the Lord. She told us she wanted to go home. About an hour later, one of our team members saw the same group again—but this time, she wasn’t with them. That confirmed she really left the club after the encounter.
