My shoes are pre-loved designer and sold out on @bohboathens , the corset is thrifted and I made the rest of the dress from leftover scrap fabric I collected at a wedding atelier that I worked at many years ago. I wish I had had more time to devote on making the dress but I'm proud that at least I managed to finish it, even though I ended up looking like a shipwrecked fairy.   2. A few weeks ago, on the 22nd of October I turned 30 and so a new decade of my life begins. As a fresh, green 20-year-old I pictured my thirties as the finish line, the final destination for all of life’s struggles, milestones and achievements, this has clearly not been the case. For better and for worse. 30 for women is seen as our expiration date, the point of no return where your face shrivels up and a magical alarm in your ovaries is set off, forcing you to trap any available man and procreate with them. Although it’s true my ass has seen better days and my energy levels aren’t what they used to be, the truth is, I love being older. Best part about it? Smelling bullshit from kilometers away. Being naive and gullible was the bane of my youth and there’s nothing really quite as empowering as reading peoples intentions. Another favorite part of being older? Having a much clearer understanding of who I am and to get that I had to question everything. I questioned religion, education, having kids, work, what my ethics were, what I ate, what I wore, what I bought, class, relationships, sexuality (the questioning never really ends) and I chose to reject a lot of the cultural and societal boxes that are expected of a woman my age to fit into. If I did anything right in my 20s, it was disregarding normality and allowing myself to grow as offensively and unconventionally as I desired.

Sorry for the flex but I needed to remind myself of everything that was achieved in 2019 because sometimes I end up feeling like all my efforts are futile and that's definitely not the case! So here it goes, this year, in Hamburg I spoke at @conscious_loft about greenwashing and veganism, I took part in the Athens climate march as so many people around the globe are waking up and finally demanding climate justice. A video on my channel reached 3 million views! I talked about veganism and ethical fashion on @instylegreece , I was interviewed by @voguegreece , named as one of the top 5 sustainability influencers by @voguejapan and I wore a thrifted outfit at the @voguegreece opening party FOR ONLY €2, because you can always have fun with fashion, ethically, sustainably and on a budget. Finally, I was also interviewed for @kathimerini and @shapemaggr I'm so grateful to everyone this year that offered me their platforms and allowed me to talk to their audience about ethical living, veganism and sustainable fashion. Thank you, to every single one of you that reached out to me to let me know you've gone vegan, quit fast fashion and radically changed the way you consume. Thank you Patrons, for making everything I did this year so much easier to accomplish. I took some time off this last month to recharge because 2020 is starting off with a bang and I can't wait to be able to tell you more about it. The 20's are here, let's make this the decade of compassion, for all humans, workers, animals and our beautiful planet.

It is vile the way that white people are behaving, and we need to be holding each other accountable and educating each other on why this cannot continue. Fixing inequality isn’t about punishing anyone, it’s about investing in society and each other. This is a CLASS war and we’re being fed empty lies by the hands of the people with banquets. Be curious and open minded to the evidence coming to light about how all of the struggles working and middle class people are facing right now in the uk are because of the growing wealth inequality due to the rich getting richer and owning more public assets and property, but then paying off politicians and newspapers to blame immigrants and people of colour. To my doctors/surgeons - Dr. Bukkapatnam and Dr. Sirohi thank you so much! They successfully removed cancer in my left kidney through robotic (Da Vinci) laparoscopic partial nephrectomy procedure and my kidney is still in tact! Praise God! 🙌🏼 Shoutout to my dear husband who’s always there for me. I wouldn’t have done this without your love and support. I love you sweetie! ❤️😘 PS - To my mom, who wasn’t able to fight cancer 23 years ago. I wasn’t gonna let cancer take me without putting up a fight. This is a seismic piece of legislation designed to protect companies that make quality products from quality materials.   2. Ready for Rule of 5 in 2024? It's great to have you here! It's been such a lovely experience travelling with all my Rule of 5 friends this last year, I couldn't possibly look back. Instead, I'm really looking forward to doing it with all of you again - only better this time. Quick reminder of the guidelines on these slides, but please remember they are just a guide. This is your challenge, it's important it's right for you, your needs and where you are in life right now. Having completed the challenge last year I can assure you it really is worth it, on so many levels. It resets your shopping habits, refreshes your relationship with fashion, deepens your relationship with style, saves you money (yes!), introduces you to creativity - and it helps the fight against climate change. I'm sure I don't need to tell you fashion is responsible for 8-10% of the world's emissions, has a huge waste problem clogging up deserts, seas and frankly any part of the world we can find to ship to, and is encouraging consumption at a rate far beyond that which the world's resources will allow. What's great about this challenge is that it is something we can all do, it is enjoyable and revealing and if enough of us do it, it could change the current trajectory we are on. So give it a go!   2. another year around the sun, hello twenty six ✨ saving the sappiness for my journal but sharing some pics of smiley me cause it’s been a while — thank you for all the bday msgs (I feel so loved and I appreciate you so much) though this past year was the hardest and loneliest year of my life, I’m grateful for the growth and healing it allowed and I’m so proud of how far I’ve come... with embracing my Asian heritage and unlearning racial conditioning, connecting with myself and holding compassionate space for my needs, and learning how to win the daily battle against my depression (wouldn’t have believed you a year ago if you told me my bathroom mirror would be full of sticky notes hyping me up — I love it though and highly recommend hehe) despite the highs and the super low lows, I really believe there’s a lesson in everything and that the universe has its plan — and when it’s hard to believe, I’ve loved @morganharpernichols’ mantra “I haven’t seen everything I was meant to see” 🤎 here’s to another year learning to reclaim rest & joy, and helping tear down the systems of oppression and racism (in the fashion industry and beyond) #sustainablestyle #ethicalfashion #oootd

We have dropped our first reel for our brand new 'A Slow Fashion series', a sequel to our existing segment Skin Curry. We we will be showcasing our expertise on styling, color theory and hacks to create different formats of an outfit. What makes this series sustainable? Its quite simple really and that is being resourceful with an already existing closet of pieces, repeating outfits, wearing one piece multiple ways and encouraging you to wear second hand Our look for today is a blend of ethnic and victorian. The 'safety pin' is used so much in our Indian culture on saree drapes and there is alot more that it can be used for in other looks too. We pinched the area of the skirt to drape in the most flattering way and pinned it on either sides. And keeping to the same silhouette of long at the back and short infront, we layered a shirt with it. To bring in a pattern and cinch the waist in, we buttoned a vest over top and sparkled the look with silver toned accessories and shoes

Skin Curry A Slow Fashion series Epispde 21 How we draped my mother in laws 30 year old saree I absolutely love the fall of this saree and the colors speak to my soul, so I was truly honored to own it as a hand me down. The saree is such a gorgeous versatile cultural piece that can be draped in so many different ways creating multiple forms. This getup is meant to project a desi contemporary queen with a badass mullet, how do you think we did ? The shirt snd shoes are thrifted from the @goodkarma.treasureshop and the trousers, tailored. Picked up the squiggly earrings at a garage sale that happens on weekends at the @european_school_of_goa In Saligao. The ring bands are from @therover and other pieces from @the.bohemian.store. I absolutely love accessorizing the waist, like pocket watches or ghetto chains on pants. So the heart clutch was a perfect touch to that.
