  1. Things dancers should leave in 2025. • Working against your body instead of with it, then blaming yourself for feeling stuck • Not treating yourself like the elite athlete you are, only like an artist who should endure • Believing rest and nervous system regulation are optional, not part of the work • Training technique while ignoring the nervous system, then losing control under pressure • Normalizing pain, numbness, burning, or loss of sensation as “part of the job” • Confusing chronic tension and hyper-alertness with ambition • Overriding fatigue instead of questioning what your body is asking for • Measuring your worth through roles, casting, or external approval • Being afraid to be seen trying or failing, forgetting that visibility is how growth happens • Treating softness as weakness, when it is often the gateway to power and longevity For the first time in my life, the turning of the year stirred nothing in me. No anticipation. No shimmering promise. Only a quiet fatigue I couldn’t ignore. I realized that at times, not always, but often enough to matter, I had been managing my life more than inhabiting it. My days were functional, efficient, impeccably organized. And yet something essential was missing. Not meaning. But felt presence. What I was craving wasn’t rest in the conventional sense. It was awareness. To taste the coffee I was drinking without rehearsing the next hour in my mind. To feel the breeze on my skin without the quiet accumulation of future worries that hadn’t even arrived yet. I know now this isn’t a personal failure. It’s patterned. 2. We can’t fix self-sewing pointe shoes or better pay, 🤷🏻‍♀️😩✨ …but we can help you build the body, strength, recovery, and confidence you need to actually achieve your dreams. 🚀 🎄 THIS Christmas, invest in the only thing that truly grows with you — your body. If your dancer heart whispered “better feet,” “recovery,” “elite cross-training,” or “Bodhi Core membership”… that’s not coincidence — that’s your body saying: please prioritize me this time. ⸻ 🎁 BODHI CORE: your home for dancer-focused training Inside Bodhi Core, you get: ✔ my full class library (Pilates, fascia, yoga, ballet conditioning, mobility, strength) ✔ elite cross-training designed specifically for dancers ✔ nervous system + burnout support ✔ Bodhi Labs (launching tomorrow): • Recovery Lab with Dr. Edythe Heus (fascia + neurology expert) • Performance Lab for power, turnout, jumps, balance, stability This is the science-based method dancers wish ballet schools taught. ⸻ 🎄 Gift yourself SUCCESS & LONGEVITY — or gift it to a dancer you love Instead of buying gifts that end up forgotten in a drawer, give something that genuinely supports technique, longevity, and wellbeing. 🎁 How to gift a Bodhi Core membership: 👉 Go to bodhicore.com 👉 Open the Contact page 👉 Select “Purchase a Gift Membership” and contact us 🎁 🩰🎄Our Christmas gift to you Black Friday may be over… but my discount @diversowear code isn’t 😉 ❗️Use AYCA30 at checkout for 30% off your order. ⸻ 🩹 Recovery Lab If you’re dealing with pain, inflammation, burnout, tightness, weakness, or overstretching, Recovery Lab (co-created with Dr. Heus) is where your body finally feels supported. Her Rev6 method + my dancer-focused fascia classes = the recovery system every dancer needs. 💬 What do YOU need this Christmas? 3. 🩰✨ The Science of an Effective Ballet Warm-Up ✨ A proper warm-up isn’t about stretching more. It’s about preparing the nervous system, joints, fascia, and muscles to handle load. A science-based warm-up includes: • dynamic core & glute activation • joint mobilization • dynamic stretching • fascia hydration & elastic prep • progressive ballet-specific movement This prepares your body for today’s class. But here’s what dancers often miss: Warm-ups, ballet classes, and rehearsals alone are not enough to sustain years of training. Ballet is repetitive and asymmetrical by nature. Over time, it can create imbalances, joint compression, and nervous-system overload — which is why dancers often feel strong and fragile at the same time. That’s where intelligent cross-training becomes essential. This is the foundation of the Bodhi Core Method — a science-based cross-training system for dancers. And Bodhi Labs is the advanced layer: performance optimization + recovery science, integrated intelligently. ✨ Full guided warm-ups, cross-training, Recovery Lab & Performance Lab are inside @bodhicore. Warm up smart. Train with purpose. Dance longer 🤍 Save this + share with a dancer who needs it. • • #scientificwarmup #dancertraining #crosstrainingfordancers #dancescience #ballettraining #injuryprevention #fasciatraining #nervoussystemregulation #pilatesfordancers #movementscience #viralreels #dancersofinstagram #professionalballet #danceeducation #trainlikeadancer #longevityindance #smarttraining #ballet #ballerina #dancer #dance #pilates #foryou #workout #fisioterapia #pilateslovers #balletlife #ballerinaintraining #viral #flexibility

  2. I’ve been studying “Mula Bandha the Master Key” and want to share a few things. . . Mula bandha (root lock) is considered the most important of the 3 bandhas because of its potential to awaken dormant (kundalini) energy. The pelvic floor has a lot going on in terms of muscle and nerve groups - which are largely outside our control and awareness. Practicing mula bandha with dedication over time has the potential to bring these neural pathways and muscles under conscious control. . . Just like meditation and pranayama can bring functions of the autonomic nervous system under control, so can practicing mula bandha. The intersection of the various muscle groups in the pelvic floor converge at the perineal body which is located (in both men and women) about two inches above the perineum. Yogic philosophy asserts that this is the location of a gland that has atrophied in the course of human evolution. . . Isolating and contracting the muscles of the perineum without also engaging other muscles in the pelvic floor is difficult if not impossible for the beginner. It’s also common for the beginner to experience soreness in the sacral area following work with mula bandha because of the interconnection of nerves and muscles. With practice, the area of the brain and neural connections associated with the perineum can be developed leading to finer motor control. . . Making the unconscious conscious is a difficult task, and the key is practice. This can’t be emphasized enough. As Pattabhi Jois says, “Yoga is 99% Practice & 1% theory.” . . . . #yogapractice #yogapose #instayoga #asana #yogagram #yogaaddict #yogisofinstagram #yogafun #ashtangayoga #yogaposes #yogaflow #ashtanga #myyogalife #yogini #yogaforlife #mypractice #yogafam #yogis #yogastrong #yoga #namaste #yogaeverydamnday #yogi #yogalife #ashtangavinyasa #yogalove #breathandbandha #selfpractice #asanapractice #yogaeveryday

  3. Remembering Geetaji. I fondly remember the first time I left Pune. Holding back tears as I struggled to say goodbye, I expressed to Geetaji that I didn’t want to leave. Geetaji‘s empathetic and compassionate response was, “Yes, but we have to say goodbye to say hello again.” And she smiled. Years later and after many return visits, I was assisting in the remedial class at RIMYI in Pune … a class where I had also received many adjustments from her, her father, and my senior teachers for my own situation. As I was helping a student into supported L-shaped poses that day, under her exacting eye, she sagely counseled me to ensure and “see that nothing is left hanging.” The underlying principle being to soothe the recipient’s nerves. This refinement helped to not only soothe the student’s body, but also seemed to quieten and ease the recipient's mind. After the celebrations honoring the 100th anniversary of her father’s birth, when it came time to say goodbye to Geetaji once again, as we chatted I didn't realize that our conversation would be the last time we spoke. In the early hours of December 16 Geetaji left her embodiment. When I learned of Geetaji’s departure, like many, I was stunned and shocked. Leaving the temple I was attending in central Pune that morning, I walked alone along an empty Laxmi Road, In the blur of my reflective grief, I could clearly see that Geetaji certainly left nothing hanging in her life. She completed what she said she was going to do…honor her father at the 100th celebration of his birth. I found solace in her initial response to me after that first trip..., then, and as I do now. “Yes, but we have to say goodbye to say hello again.” Geeta S. 2. ✨tapahsvādhyāyeśvarapranidhānāni kriyāyogah - Yoga Sūtras 2.1 ✨ “Yoga practice should reduce mental and physical impurities. It should develop our ability to examine ourselves and help us understand that, ultimately, we are not the masters of everything we do.” - Desikachar ✨🙏🏼 The āsanas in the practice of Yoga are a fundamentally important tool, but they are not the end and should not be the goal. The goal that Yoga proposes is the liberation of our physical and mental conditioning. Through devoted and constant practice, we remove our physical and mental impurities in order to discover (re-discover) our inner being. ✨It’s a long journey. A journey that probably (for those who believe in reincarnation) will not end in this lifetime. It’s what motivates me every day to wake up at dawn to practice... it’s what motivates me to pray and meet with myself every day on my mat. And not every day what I perceive about myself is good, beautiful, light, pleasant and flowery. I’m far from being a Yogi (I know people who have never practiced āsanas in their life and are true Yogis) 🙃. I have countless defects that I try to overcome day after day... I recognize them and from that recognition, I look at them, I meditate and work (practice) in search of a new standard. ✨Over time we increasingly realize the insights that coming from practice. Practice (of Yoga and not necessarily of āsanas) and life mix in a constant dialogue. Day after day... breath after breath. Happy or sad. Willingly or not so willingly. All this in search of a better version of myself, here and now. ✨💛✨🙏🏼 📸✨ by Vishwas @yogabyvishwas ✨⚡️ (Mysore, Feb. 2024). #yoga #setubandhasana #ashtangayoga #morethanasana

✨🧡🤍💚✨ #ashtangayoga #mysore #sharathyogacentre #syc
