Pegboard stands📍✨ were the BIGGEST request when I posted prototypes back in September and tbh I wasn’t totally sure how I was going to do it😅 I had done some research on pegboard stands that existed but really wanted to come up with something a little more fun + different, while still making sure they were sturdy💓 After a few tries I finally landed on these curved stands with a slot to perfectly hold the pegboard and I’m obsessed with how it turned out! I typically design my rooms with one primary color, but when I saw Debonair (HGSW9139) and Red Barn (HGSW7591) in the Earthy Charm Color Collection at the HGTV Smart Home 2023, I knew immediately that I wanted to use those two colors together somewhere in the home. Quick rundown of my latest YouTube video making more mobile storage for upstairs in the loft. Would be great for a garage, attic, basement or even in storage units. Having it on casters is the best part so easy to bunch up to save space and more around to get what I need. This definitely isn’t fine woodworking 🤣 but that’s ok. I needed it quick and had plenty of construction material left over to work with. Also used those fancy Harbor Freight casters that the Facebook keyboard jockeys are having a heart attack over. Shop tool upgrade!! Out with the Harbor Freight miter saw and in with the Dewalt. Home Depot had their 12” 15amp corded miter saw on sale 30% off so I had to pull the trigger. It's a beaut, Clark! . Christmas Vacation ranks in my Top 5 Holiday Movies. I can practically quote it line for line. My first year making scroll saw art, I made myself a version of this screen grab from the opening credits sequence. So when @brando_calris94 , a fellow Christmas Vacation fan, asked me (for the 3rd year in a row 😂) if I would make him this piece...I finally relented. I also cursed him multiple times during the process of cutting, sanding, painting, and keeping track of the 50+ bricks and all of the Santa parts. The glue-up was a nightmare and took forever to piece together - the clip is only the dry fit, and it took 2 more assemblies before it was glued down! . But it was fun to see how my skills have changed and progressed when comparing it to the similar piece I made for myself years ago. I hope you love it, Brandon! ☺️ . Start 'em young! A few months ago, I posted in my stories about a sunflower I wanted to make using old yellow handled screwdrivers. I figured it would take me all summer at estate sales and flea markets to scrounge up enough. Cut to today at the local swap meet. In the now immortal words of my 8 year old niece: "When you're a little girl, you can get whatever you want." Men were just handing them to us or giving us a bag full for $5. I was completely unaware of the Little Girl Discount, but I exploited it as best I could. 🤣 . Since she spent hours walking around a dirty swap meet with me, eagle-eyeing yellow screwdrivers, and working her charm on some old men, I figured she needed to at least start the welding project with me!
