  3. 👉 Some people don't track their progress seriously. That totally works... For people who don't take their results seriously. . Especially when you are trying to lose fat, build muscle, enhance performance naturally. We can't leave progress variables up to chance. . I get a lot of questions on that, for almost every single day. I counter back with a question. Generally, how is your eating like? What is your program looking like right now? Etc.. . You see, when I present such questions, as many other coaches would too. I am collecting data. The more data I have, more confidently I can conclude that you aren't eating enough, or you are eating too much, you are pushing too hard or might need some tweaks or periodization here and there in your program. . And when I get a response such as, "I don't track my portions", "I just cut carbs out", "I just followed whatever my gym partner is doing". I am basically hearing... . "I don't track anything, I have no recorded past experiences on that, I have no info for you. Now fix me." 😐 . For scientific papers to have 3 subjects vs 1500 subjects, 10 day vs 100 day readings. More data leads to stronger convictions which are then systematically reviewed. The more you keep track of variables, the more you know what works for you and what don't. Plus you can always go back and review what you did in the past. . Off the top of your head, can you recall EXACTLY what you ate for the past 14 days? I don't think so. This is why tracking is highly recommended in my book. For general population, tracking food portions and keeping a flexible program is nice. For Olympians, every single aspect of training and nutrition count towards their goal. . And if you haven't been doing that then its never too late to start now. . You can start with the easy things like weekly weigh ins, or scheduled tape measurements, track your workout volume, even without calorie counting, recording what you generally eat can help. Trust me, little things like this goes a long way. . This photo is taken exactly 2 weeks ago thanks to 📸@syamilirsyad_ . After 3 hard sets of bench pressing to 12 rep maxes. (Which is hard as fuck since Im not a good presser).

Curried Tofu Burritos 🌯 Macros💪for one burrito- makes 6 458 cals - 26P - 55C - 16F ✨INGREDIENTS✨ 2 400g blocks of extra firm tofu 2 tbsp soy milk 1/2 tsp turmeric 2 tsp curry powder 1 tsp onion powder 1/4 tsp garlic powder 1/4 cup nutritional yeast 1/2 tsp black salt 1/4 tsp pepper 4 potatoes (440g) 3 bell peppers 1 red onion 1/2 tsp smoked paprika Salt & pepper 6 tortillas (10 inch) 1/2 cup vegan cheese 😋 First rip your tofu into chunks and add to a bowl with your seasonings. Mix to combine and spread over a baking sheet. 🔪 Chop up your veggies, chopping your potatoes into small cubes so they will cook faster, then add them to a separate baking sheet. Sprinkle with smoked paprika, salt and pepper 🔥 Bake at 400f. The tofu will need about 25 minutes and the veggies & potatoes about 40-45 minutes. 😋 Divide your ingredients into 6 tortillas, wrap them in parchment paper, then pop into the fridge or freezer until you’re ready to enjoy! 🔥 TO REHEAT🔥 I like to store them in the fridge - they will last up to 5 days. Imagine thinking you have to give up all of your favorite foods & meals for the rest of your life because they’re causing you to be fat. ♻️ SAVE & SHARE THIS POST Imagine thinking you can’t eat rice or potatoes anymore because it’s not good for fat loss… This is what I heard on one of our free body strategy calls last week. We’ll call him Brad. See Brad scheduled a call to see if I could help him with losing his belly/love handles. Of Course Brad, that’s what we do. So I asked Brad what has he done lately to make progress with that goal. He said for the last month or so, he’s cut out rice and potatoes and eats once per day. I asked Brad if he’s ok with eating like that for the rest of his life. Brad obviously said no. I told Brad that he’s following the wrong plan. I asked a few more questions and found out that rice and potatoes is a BIG part of Brad’s culture. Unfortunately somewhere down the line, Someone told Brad that he can’t eat those foods anymore because those are carbs and they’re keeping him overweight. This is why I do what I do. To help people build an enjoyable way of eating, without stressing over things that don’t matter. Let’s end this Demonization of Carbs. HERE’S WHAT REALLY MATTERS FOR FAT LOSS Make sure you’re in a REAL Calorie Deficit. Make sure you’re getting Enough Protein. Primarily Eat Whole Foods. Eat the Foods You ACTUALLY ENJOY. Don’t Focus on Hitting an Exact amount of Carbs and Fats as they are of lesser importance than the Total amount of calories you’re consuming. Brought up a lot of great memories… and the realization that I played my first show with this kit, summer of ‘95, at a drum clinic in Houston, almost exactly 30 years ago to the day. Wow. As always, kudos to the guy who painted this monstrosity... my childhood friend—and still one of my best bros to this day—the one and only, @johndouglas_art. Stunning work, to say the least! Unless you have actually seen (and heard) this kit in person, you cannot fully appreciate the unparalleled artistry that went into its creation. Even the sound of the drums remains my favorite of all the Peavey Radial Bridge kits I’ve played and heard… not sure why. (Perhaps because of the extra clearcoat these drums likely required?) This pic was no doubt taken shortly after I got the kit, because we didn’t even have the outside bass drum heads that it would ultimately travel with. But man… dragging that kit all over North America the next few years was quite a scene! Everyone would freak over these drums... and rightfully so. There was just nothing else out there like ‘em. And, of course, the “Sistines” always had deeply significant personal meaning to me, given my lifelong fascination with Michelangelo, da Vinci, and the entire Renaissance era... along with a personal ethos rooted in much of that philosophy. Regrettably, I let this kit go way back in ‘08, without any real idea of how much I would grow to regret it later. But that’s another story for another time…
