  2. What’s the single easiest way to win a point in pickleball? Hit a dangerous serve. Notice how I didn’t say hit a “hard” serve. A hard mid-height serve is what your opponent wants. What they don’t want? The lob serve; the short serve. They don’t want to create their own pace. I tell all my students if you’re not missing one serve a game then I can promise that you’re also not winning any free points on your serve. It costs you nothing if you miss a serve and you could be gaining 3-4 totally free points per game with it.   1. I am convinced this is 8.0 level pickleball. Every shot here is perfect and the ones that aren’t are followed up with a perfect reset or counter. The pace and spin combined with the placement and depth of each shot is ridiculous. People like to say “pickleball is easy” and to the untrained eye dinks, resets, and 3rd’s might seem that way. We hear “why are they hitting the ball so soft?” from those who are clearly ignorant. Pickleball level is at an all-time high. As paddles get faster and balls get harder the ability to execute shots at the level these four ladies are in this video is insanely difficult. 📈 follow @thekitchenpickleball for more pickleball!

  2. Some anniversaries hit harder than others. 41 years since my mom died. These pictures made me smile, laugh, and cry. My brother Buddy called today and we both couldn’t believe so much time has gone by. Carrie Macuha was one special human being! She was the one that people turned to for advice. She was super funny and our cheerleader. She was generous and caring. Most of all, she wanted us to be happy. I wish my friends could have met her!
