Recognition: @socal_lefty taught me the importance of asking yourself right away “can I take this ball in the air or not?” If it’s NO, then… 2. Move fast backwards, then set your feet. Dance not just laterally but back and forward with the ball. Then… 3. When making contact, pretend you are posing for the cameras 📸. Set your whole body at impact, imagine a cup of tea on your head and you don’t want to spill. Then… 4. Aim! 3 key places: corners and the right side player’s left foot. And be sure to… 5. Avoid short hopping (this takes you OUT of the driver’s seat.   1. I am convinced this is 8.0 level pickleball. Every shot here is perfect and the ones that aren’t are followed up with a perfect reset or counter. The pace and spin combined with the placement and depth of each shot is ridiculous. People like to say “pickleball is easy” and to the untrained eye dinks, resets, and 3rd’s might seem that way. We hear “why are they hitting the ball so soft?” from those who are clearly ignorant. Pickleball level is at an all-time high. As paddles get faster and balls get harder the ability to execute shots at the level these four ladies are in this video is insanely difficult. 📈 follow @thekitchenpickleball for more pickleball!
