  3. Berlins längster Blütenweg 🌸 Start des Frühlingsspaziergang ist der Lilienthalpark. Zwischen Wasserbassin und Fliegeberg stehen die Bäume gerade in voller Blüte. Von dort geht es durch die Johann-Baptist-Gradl Grünanlage zum Trümmerberg Lichterfelde und weiter zum Mauerweg.  Nach der Osdorfer Straße zweigt links ein kleiner Weg ab, der parallel zum Mauerweg verläuft. Hier grünt und blüht es überall. Nach etwa 30 Minuten erreichst du die Japanischen Kirschblütenallee. Der südliche Teil um das Japaneck ist besonders schön. ❗️Hinweis: Die Aufnahmen sind am 18. April entstanden.   2. Well….the post I was putting off for a few days. I’ll keep it short, simple, and 💯 I was extremely disappointed that I failed to make the Olympic final last week. I felt confident and ready to go heading into Tokyo. It just wasn’t my day and I just wasn’t ready to compete with the worlds best. Never an easy pill to swallow. But I found the sun came up the next day and life goes on. I’ll have a few races left on the schedule this szn that I think you guys will be excited about. I’ll be posting about them in the coming days & weeks. For now, the last slide is my mood heading into Pre Classic next week.   3. As I watched spectators trickle into Jesuit HS warming up last night, I was immediately overwhelmed by the turnout and interest this race sparked with only a 72 hour notice. For the first time in my career I put myself out there on my intentions to get after a record and I felt a little vulnerable. A very fast American Record. When I crossed the line and saw 3:49, a mark over 2 seconds slower than my goal for the night, a mark that hundreds or thousands of people from all over came to watch me break, I felt a sense of disappointment. I wanted to give everyone who came out and tuned in a historic night. I realized I wanted it more for them than for myself. While gathering myself, I was surprised to hear cheers and a loud applause. Did they not see the time? As I jogged around and thanked everyone who came out to make last night a special one, I found myself wanting to say sorry. Sorry for not giving them an American Record that I felt I had promised, but they wouldn’t let me. Instead they told me how proud and excited they were by my attempt. Of my willingness to put it out there, and that they were rooting for me in Tokyo. It was the send-off I didn’t know that I needed. I am proud to represent this country and these fans because nights like this make me remember how much track & field and its fans have given me. Damn, I love this sport.

  2. Day 64 of hiking 2,200 miles from Georgia to Maine!! 🥳 Today was not my hardest day on trail. The sun was shining, I was surrounded by friends, but for some reason I was just feeling really down and anxious. It didn’t make sense to me, and I was frustrated with myself for feeling so emotional on such an “easy” day. But the hard days add up, and I think the sleep deprivation on top of some very hot, higher mileage days with a cold I had been fighting left me drained and feeling emotionally vulnerable. Sometimes we just feel how we feel, and it doesn’t have to make sense. I’m so grateful for the friends who cared for me and supported me and even walked with me as I made my way out of the funk. This trail is challenging. This trail is healing. We’ve been joking a lot lately about how the worst part of the trail is the hiking because our crew of characters has such a wonderful time together hanging out at camp and snack breaks.   3. Never did I think taking on 3 kids from 2 other males would be easy. What I was sure of, the woman connected to them was worth it all. I am not these kids biological father, they have those. What I will be is the best example of a quality human being, always show them how to treat their mother with respect and support them in any way I can during their development. Coming from a split home myself, I know it’s not easy on youngsters, but in todays world sadly, it’s pretty common. So Christina and I will always remain unfazed by any outside noise and save the kids from any unnecessary trauma. Christina is a very driven and incredible woman who has an ability to brush anything off and keep herself composed while being a positive influence in these kids lives while achieving success in anything she does. I admire her greatly for that…especially watching my own mother do the same for my siblings and I growing up, I can appreciate it. There is a lot that goes on in personal lives that isn’t for public consumption, therefore not shared, kept private. So trust me as someone who likes to keep a low profile, no one except those directly involved knows jack about any situation more than them. 2 sides and the truth. I will always protect her, keep her safe and no one will hurt her with me in the picture. She doesn’t bother anyone, she deserves the same in return. I will ensure that’s the case.

La villa è stata ideata da un costruttore in pensione, Annunzio Lagomarsini, per il desiderio di vedere il mare e di avere sempre la casa esposta al sole. Al posto delle fondamenta poggia su una struttura metallica che le permette di sollevarsi fino a 20mt, ruotare su se stessa, e scorrere sui binari. La struttura è stata realizzata in materiale riciclato, ed è perfettamente antisismica. Si trova a Castelnuovo Magra, vicino Sarzana, ad un passo dall’Aurelia. Per secoli rimane un piccolo stato monastico indipendente, con leggi proprie e perfino una sua moneta, il Luigino. Più di due secoli dopo un abitante del borgo, Giorgio Carbone, riscopre quei documenti e sostiene che Seborga non sia mai diventata parte legale del Regno di Sardegna, e quindi nemmeno dell’Italia. Viene eletto “Principe Giorgio I” nel 1963, e nel 1996 proclama l’indipendenza del Principato di Seborga.   2. Autumn is the most favorite season of mine. Why? This photo is the reason why I love autumn so much. The weather in autumn is considerably cool, the sky is so clear and the smell of approaching winter is absolutely joyful. And most importantly when the foliage starts especially in temperate climates, the vibrant colors of the leaves are absolutely magical. Shedding colorful leaves from the deciduous tress is the most wonderful thing I enjoy. It makes me euphoric. Anyway, Tiber is one of the most perfect locations on earth to enjoy such beauty.   3. These shots, in fact every shot of mine that I post here, are not limited to visiting a place and taking the photos only. My shots are demonstrably not meagre in composition and story-telling. I would never compromise my objective and aspiration while doing photography, particularly adventure photography! I hence never delimit my capacity or patience threshold to capture the best moments or scenes possible! When people say 'you are blessed that you go to places ' - I, in fact, in response, say 'hey, I don't visit places, I carry the places, and I passionately work so hard to chase my goals with extreme willpower, so not sure if it's blessing, I'd merely say it's my earning,  my reward'. Well, how? An apposite curiosity or a question that I face, always. A surreal thing to say. But a refreshing, rather a sagacious thing to preach to people for their comprehension and cohesion. Apropos of what I have been saying, I hope I already made it discernible that I carry the places means I connect with the places I go to, it's people, the nature, flora, fauna, climate, the entirety of the site, situation and all the happenings that naturally gifts the wonderful or various pleasant or unexpected memories and influences to me! The whole experience eventually makes me a storyteller. I recieve all of them and carry them to other places, even to the world. This is how I, you and all can carry the places to other places. Photography is just one of the most effective tools to entail these experiences. This is the way I go to places and carry them to the next ones. Anyway I took this photo in Mongolia. It was extremely strenuous and perilous to get the perfect setting and capture the moments where my friend is standing atop the sand dunes facing an absolutely beautiful fresh water lake during the golden hour. Sun was setting, it was cloudy! But while taking these shots, I felt so much connected with the moments, the beautiful nature and my camera. Mongolia is truly mesmerizing. A country with heavily diverse natural attributes. It has mountains, it has grasslands, it has lakes and it has deserts too!! Isn't it incredibly amazing?
