I did 3/4 of the work, but it doesn't matter bc just as in life, we played our rolls, and we won as a family. They need competition their own age, but its rare now days for Dads to compete against theirs children. I believe this is vital to their respect for you! So let them shine and do the work with them.

  3. Ever wonder how I came to work with @iliketomakestuff? It’s a fun story. I was in the army for almost 9 years and decided to get out honorably. After working a few government contracting jobs, I landed in southern Georgia working for Lockheed Martin. I always wanted more than I could get there. I wanted to help teach people and show them what they are capable of instead of framing my work around war and destruction. So, my wife convinced me to sell all of our stuff and move into an RV and travel the country. After some wonderful and terrifying months (almost a year and half) we came to visit an internet friend in Kentucky. Bob needed help making content after recently moving to Kentucky himself, so we moved the RV to a stranger’s (now amazing friends) farm and I started shooting YouTube videos. The channel and the company have grown since then and my duties have expanded into amazing avenues. I get to make things, help people achieve their goals, and show them that they are capable of more than they think. It’s truly a blessing. So, for you, yes you, person who is “stuck” in a job you hate, in a circumstance that feels empty and unfulfilling; know that you can change your way. It’s is terrifying and a test of faith, but also a wealth of opportunities. Be bold, write a new chapter to your story.

  2. Gunsmith Notes Beretta 92gts So at 7k rounds this is how the @beretta_usa 92gts is wearing. 99% of the ammo shot through it has been factory PMC or Blazer 124g ammo. It does not shoot plated reloads without tumbling. The PMC averaged 128pf and the blazer is about 135pf with way better SD. I have replaced the locking block and that has seemed to clear up some of the accuracy issues I was having. Velocity is low compared to a G19x (4inch barrel)that’s been magnaported. Between 60-100fps depending on load. I have been basically been running it stock besides grips and sights. Installed a shok-buff at 6k. Tried 11.5lb spring for a class. Had 2 malf’s and went back to the stock recoil spring (new) and replaced the extractor spring with xpower WC. Had 2 more malfs. Removed the shock buff. Have about 100 rounds on it without issues so far. Couple of things to note on the wear. Barrel is asymmetrically witnessing wear at the 10\11oclock at the nose. Inside of the slide is also showing wear. I have had to clearance the frame rail 2 times now at the spot the locking block falls. It deforms the frame and makes it difficult to remove the slide and barrel. The barrel peening the rear ramp seat was heavy at first but has since plateaued. At this rate of wear I would expect it last 20k before major frame deformation failure. So for most of you this is going to come probably as a shock or a huge surprise...except for a few close friends who walked through this season of life with me. After a lot of healing, time alone with God, counsel by professionals, divorce recovery and lots of godly people keeping me accountable...I am on the other side of things. This week I got married & eloped with an amazing godly woman, @leahmaria.harris ! God has been absolutely amazing in all that He has done when I thought all was lost, but He has redeemed the most broken parts of my life and blessed me with her and her wonderful 3 sons as well. I couldn’t ask for a more caring, loving, understanding, and godly woman to be my wife and in the life of my kids! She walked through such a similar experience as me and has astounded me in how graceful she walked through her experience and the strong woman she is today! So grateful for her and her patience and love towards me and Josie & Reuben! I can’t even begin to describe all that God did for us and to show us His will in our story and the bringing of us together and how undeniable that God has knitted our lives together. I can’t wait to see how God uses our story to share with others about the hope that can come even when things seem utterly broken!   3. Looking back on 2017 and it's a very weird year to process. Lots of lows peppered with some highs here and there. Learning to take a whole lot of things in stride and just take each day as it comes. I am blessed with an amazing wife and 2 fantastic kids.   2. PLEASE READ before judging. “Trophy photos” are a mixed bag for me, so it’s with much trepidation that I make this post. On one hand, photos of this sort can easily be seen as representing an arrogant, heartless hunter gloating over his domination of the natural world. This is especially true in the social media era, when photos can be rocketed around the globe without context for the care, work, and emotional roller coaster endured by the hunter. On the other hand, a photo seems like a natural way to celebrate the animal and commemorate the experience. If we use the spiritual hunt of Native Americans as our benchmark, then the taking/sharing of photos seems reasonable. Native people routinely kept trophies for ornamentation and ceremonies. This bear gave its energy for our family and I won’t forget that. Every bit of it will be used. We’ve already had several wonderful meals from its flesh. The hide will become a camping blanket for our kids and the claws will be made into necklaces to forever honor this great beast. Whether you’re a vegan or a meat eater, someone’s hands got “dirty” for you to eat. Ever since the first night we launched in August 2016, I've snapped a shot of every single spot we've camped in. 📸 Using my spreadsheet of where we've stayed every night of our travels, I'll eventually make a book of all the campsites!
