  1. 🌼 #todaysknitoutfit featuring the #anoukatank 🌼 Summer’s in full swing, and I couldn’t ask for more sophisticated knitted vibes. Anouka was my first #intarsia knitted piece ever and it was quite the ride! I admit I was overwhelmed when I first looked at all the color work charts. I also had no idea how to neatly divide out the yarns for each chart, but after a few reads through the written pattern, everything started to click. And after I found the perfect, ever-so-convenient no-tangle thread bobbins to organize all my separate yarns into (swipe to see them!), it was smooth sailing from there! I had these colorways in Loft sitting in my stash since the COVID quarantine, so I was happy to use this #testknit as a stash-busting project. I began with a center panel that featured the light yellow and gray color ways, but after knitting a few inches of the color work, I realized this was all wrong, and decided to make the hayloft yellow and red color ways the centerpiece. What a difference it made! Has this gorgeous intarsia top been on your queue? Do you have any hesitations in trying out intarsia if you’ve never tried it before? Let me know why in the comments below! 👇🏼 Happy knitting everyone 🧶 . . 2. My latest #workinprogress — #stagheadpullover no. 2 🦌💐 I am so excited to finally share my current WIP with you all! I previously made my first Stag Head Pullover back in 2019 but found that I never wore it because I made it with white yarn and was afraid of getting it dirty, and I made it a bit long for my taste. I ended up giving it to my aunt who lives in Seoul, Korea a couple of years ago because I genuinely wanted it to be worn and loved (Swipe ➡️ to see photos of Stag Head no. 1). However, whenever I thought back to this sweater, I missed it so much and felt sad that I gave it away—it’s such a special design! So I decided it was finally time to make my second Stag Head. This time around, I made some major changes after my first experience. I decided to omit the waist shaping and make it a little shorter so that it wouldn’t be as warm and feel so bulky when worn with all of my pants. I knew I would lose momentum if I knit the front and back pieces separately, so I modified the pattern to be knit in the round. I also decided to use @brooklyntweed ‘s Shelter yarn as I know this yarn provides incredible structure to cables. I initially was going to go with a darker foresty green (Yellowstone) I had in my stash, but ultimately pivoted to the golden Hayloft so as to accentuate the cables more. Now all that’s left to knit are the sleeves! I am so, so happy to revisit @norahgn ‘s extraordinary design. Though it is an immense labor of love, it is absolutely worth all of the effort. What do you think about this classic design? Have you been wanting to make the Stag Head Pullover? Let me know in the comments below! 👇🏼 Happy knitting everyone 🧶 . . 3. 10 hand-knit sweaters for fall + winter in 50 seconds 💫 (Re-uploaded because the first one was pixelated, but I can’t seem to fix the issue. Sorry about the quality!) Phew, it’s always a challenge fitting this many outfits into one short reel, but I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it. I love sharing round-ups like this; it’s such a joy to pause and appreciate all the hard work we put into our handmade pieces while inspiring new project ideas for fellow knitters. And even though it’s not quite cold where I live, I’m already dreaming of trips to the mountains with @tyler_salzb, and of course, my knits are coming with me! In order of appearance: 1. #winterchunkyjacket by @grey_level_knitter using @nakoiplikleri and @dropsdesign 2. #enchantedforestsweater by @tangledhandknits using @knitcollage 3. #arcticlightsweater by @kutovakika using @dropsdesign 4. #yellcardigan by @mariewallin using @knit_picks and @jamiesonsofshetland 5. #aegyosweater by @aegyoknit using @weareknitters 6. #westcoastcardigan by @janerichmond using @quinceandco 7. #festivedoodle by @boylandknitworks using @brooklyntweed 8. #stagheadpullover by @norahgn using @brooklyntweed 9. #zambezisweater by @marianneisager using @isageryarn and @knit_picks 10. #selicardigan by @aleksbyrd using @knit_picks As Fall settles in, I’m also wrapping up my dietetic internship with just two more weeks to go! I’ve been working closely with incredible diabetes educators and even started counseling patients on my own which has felt so fulfilling and rewarding. I’m feeling deeply grateful for this season of learning and growth, both professionally and personally. I’ve also picked up a new hobby that I’ve been keeping offline for now… It’s been refreshing to do something just for me without sharing it on social media, but I’ll tell you all about it soon! So, which of these knits are you adding to your queue or have you been wanting to make? Let me know in the comments below! Happy fall and winter knitting, everyone 🍂🧶
