  1. Well there’s a new design on my needles! I’m having so much fun watching this pattern emerge. The yarn I’m knitting with is @wishboneyarn Flax Flower worsted and there will be a test knitting call very soon. I’m so excited to be back after a big break! Unfortunately I needed to take a lot of time off this year due to my health. For a big portion of 2020 I felt unwell, yet continued to work. In 2021 I was finally diagnosed with Lyme, but by then it had done a lot of damage, so it’s taken a while to heal. I needed to simplify as much as possible so I could recover. Thank you so much for your support during a really challenging time in my life - I’m so grateful to have been able to slow down and put myself first. I’m feeling a lot better now, and look forward to sharing many more designs in the years to come!💛

I’m actively working on the pattern for the Lucky Duck hat but I’m such a perfectionist that I have to test every size myself before sending it off into the world (even for testing). Luckily Frankie has gone through 3 sizes so far so at least I have a fit model for each one (ugh what is wrong with me?). When the 1940s meets Victorian…with a touch of 1930s drama By special request I’ve created this jacket with cables, a peplum, and the specific sleeves from the 1930s pattern for “Annie’s Jacket” in my book … the ones that stand up with a life of their own ! I drew a on 4 different vintage patterns to create the jacket and hand knitted in a modern 4 ply.   1. 🌼 #todaysknitoutfit featuring the #anoukatank 🌼 Summer’s in full swing, and I couldn’t ask for more sophisticated knitted vibes. Anouka was my first #intarsia knitted piece ever and it was quite the ride! I admit I was overwhelmed when I first looked at all the color work charts. I also had no idea how to neatly divide out the yarns for each chart, but after a few reads through the written pattern, everything started to click. And after I found the perfect, ever-so-convenient no-tangle thread bobbins to organize all my separate yarns into (swipe to see them!), it was smooth sailing from there! I had these colorways in Loft sitting in my stash since the COVID quarantine, so I was happy to use this #testknit as a stash-busting project. I began with a center panel that featured the light yellow and gray color ways, but after knitting a few inches of the color work, I realized this was all wrong, and decided to make the hayloft yellow and red color ways the centerpiece.   2. My latest #workinprogress — #stagheadpullover no. 2 🦌💐 I am so excited to finally share my current WIP with you all! I previously made my first Stag Head Pullover back in 2019 but found that I never wore it because I made it with white yarn and was afraid of getting it dirty, and I made it a bit long for my taste. I ended up giving it to my aunt who lives in Seoul, Korea a couple of years ago because I genuinely wanted it to be worn and loved (Swipe ➡️ to see photos of Stag Head no. 1). However, whenever I thought back to this sweater, I missed it so much and felt sad that I gave it away—it’s such a special design! So I decided it was finally time to make my second Stag Head. This time around, I made some major changes after my first experience. I decided to omit the waist shaping and make it a little shorter so that it wouldn’t be as warm and feel so bulky when worn with all of my pants. I knew I would lose momentum if I knit the front and back pieces separately, so I modified the pattern to be knit in the round. I also decided to use @brooklyntweed ‘s Shelter yarn as I know this yarn provides incredible structure to cables. I initially was going to go with a darker foresty green (Yellowstone) I had in my stash, but ultimately pivoted to the golden Hayloft so as to accentuate the cables more. Now all that’s left to knit are the sleeves! I am so, so happy to revisit @norahgn ‘s extraordinary design. Though it is an immense labor of love, it is absolutely worth all of the effort.   1. KLEUR is the name of the new #shawl #knittingpattern that I’m excited to share with you to celebrate the start of 2019. ‘Kleur’ translates to ‘colour’ (from Dutch to English). The Quarter Wheel and Spines sections are #knitted in a striking spectrum of #naturaldyedyarn by @woollenflower (for which you can pop over to her shop for kits). The #natural #undyed black, white and grey are #garthenorronas from @garthenor, used for the Mitre Stripes (black and white) and External Curve (grey). My thanks also go to @muirandco for #knitting this sample for me. To @roseewoodland - our design-brains work in such different ways, it becomes a fascinating collaboration to work with her as a #techeditor. To @jenireid for the lush photos of @mmknitter modelling in her overalls on her allotment - they are what I’d dreamed of. Even @emmaknitsthings was there for styling help.   3. ROW/ROUND - after yesterday’s frogging, the bottom edge is getting and extra 3cm of #corrugatedribbing and a 2-row/round striped #icordbindoff. So far it seems to not be flipping up at all, which is good news. I’m never sure whether I want to call it a row or round when it comes to #icord, so I tend go with row/round. It’s #knitted as a row, but makes a round. In any case, I’m enjoying the ‘yucky’ combination of auburn and dirty dirty yellow.

  2. 2024…Mange turer i snø, regn, sol, tåka og vind. Fantastiske skiturar i drittvær og nydelig vær, nakkeoperasjon, toppturfestival, gått i snø te lårå i juli, ramla gjennom snøbro te livet, opplevd ekstremt mye nydelig natur, utallige km te fots, jysla mange teltturar, mye camping i bilen, maaaange kjørte km, flytta te Hammerfest med bare bil og turutstyr, ny jobb, slutta i jobben og starter i ny jobb 2. januar, bytta leilighet og måtte jaggu bytta ut min kjære bil. Men har fått meg ein gammal finnmarking, altså ein 4hjulstrekk, og eg seie bare halleluja🙌🏼 Følte meg som veiens dronning når eg kjørte te Finland, Vadsø, Kirkenes, Finland og tebake over Finnmarksvidda i jula💨🚗 Det har vært en rocky slutt på 2024, med mørketid, ingen nettverk, absolutt alt var nytt og eg fikk kjenne skikkelig på nedturer. Men herreguuud alt te gode folk eg har i livet mitt, hima i Haugesund, her på Instagram og her hima i Hammerfest🫶🏼 Eg er så takknemlige for dåkke alle🤎 Godt nyttår, sees i 2025.
