  2. Don’t worry if you’re also not a baker like me 🫵🏻 you can still make this bakery-style Nutella Bomboloni at home. Ingredients: For Dough: 1½ cup maida (all-purpose flour) 2 tbsp sugar 1 tsp instant yeast A pinch of salt 2 tbsp yogurt/curd ½ cup lukewarm milk (adjust as needed) 2 tbsp unsalted butter (softened) For Filling: Nutella or any chocolate cream (as required) For Coating: Caster sugar Method: 1. Prepare the Dough In a large bowl, add maida, sugar, instant yeast, and salt. Add yogurt and mix well. Slowly add lukewarm milk and knead until a soft dough forms. Add softened butter and knead again for 8–10 minutes until the dough becomes smooth and stretchy. Cover the dough and let it rest for 2 hours or until it doubles in size. 2. Shape the Bomboloni Once the dough doubles, gently knead it again to remove excess air. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions. Make smooth balls and place them on butter paper. Cover and let them rest again for 30–45 minutes until fluffy. 3. Fry Heat oil on low-medium flame. Carefully add the dough balls and fry slowly. Turn occasionally until they become golden brown from all sides. Remove and place on tissue paper to remove excess oil. 4. Fill with Nutella Make a small hole on the side or top of each Bomboloni. Fill it generously with Nutella using a piping bag. 5. Final Touch Coat the Bomboloni with caster sugar. Serve fresh and enjoy the soft, fluffy bun with a creamy chocolate surprise inside. 🍫✨ Soft outside, creamy inside — a bakery-style treat made easily at home! ❤️ #bombolini #summerrecipes #nutellabomboloni #homemade #dessert

  3. Frank is back and this time he brings with him a short story of a tetraplegic frenchie suffering from #ivdd . Couple teaching points here: 1) a sudden onset paralysis is concerning because you don’t know if the spinal cord is going to continue to deteriorate the next few days from myelomalacia 2) when the spinal cord is very bright on MRI that means it’s been damaged internally (more or less) by a herniated disc 3) you can’t do anything about internal contusion other than give it time and see what happens 4) surgery removes the compression from the herniated disc - but doesn’t address that contusion 5) sudden onset can mean prolonged recovery.   3. Obi is 18 years old.... I think. We got obi full grown from a rescue (yes, we only recommend rescuing a dog vs buying one) and he was at least 2 years old. We got him back in 2001 before I was married with my wife. She went to the nutcracker market for some home made pasta sauce and instead came back with this fur ball.   1. It’s been a rough 32 hours for our little guy. It started with him having an accident on the rug while we were out — and it hasn’t stopped since. I’ve been up multiple times through the night with him, and the diarrhoea has been pretty constant. We took him to the vet this afternoon. He had a mild fever, and the vet wasn’t totally comfortable with how his stomach felt. They ran x-rays, an ultrasound & blood tests — just to be safe. We’ve been told to bring him back tomorrow if things don’t start to improve. On top of that, he’s been extra anxious. Poor little guy nearly jumped out of his skin at a statue the other day, and even our usual calming strategies haven’t been working too well. He’s home now — pretty flat & wiped out — but resting. We’ve started him on boiled chicken, rice & pumpkin to help settle his tummy. Fingers crossed it’s just a tummy bug & nothing more 🤞❤️
