Introducing our beautiful identical twins and strong #nicubaby survivors, born 8 weeks prematurely on March 4, 2020 after I was diagnosed with severe preeclampsia and rushed into an emergency c-section. I am doing better and they are finally home with me and @melissaabreezy after a long hospital stay in the Neonatal ICU. They are doing so well—they were born at 3.5 and 4 pounds, and are now clearing the 6 and 7 pound marks!! They are named Lorenzo Mark Rousso and London James Rousso and now that they have joined their big brother (by 2.5 weeks!) Lucas Valentino Rousso, our little 5-person tribe is complete!!   1. What’s brown and sticky? A MOTH. Ha. Meet Twiggy. Professional stick impersonator. This is the top camoflage dog, the ultimate woody imitator. Isn’t this AMAZING?! Buff Tip moths! I could *never* get sick of looking at Buff Tip moths. What little bundles of winged perfection they are. Nature is the best mimic, the biggest flatterer. Camouflage as a concept is just *incredible*, and I love to show this off as a perfect example. You see, if you snap off a little bit of birch twig, you’ve pretty much got yourself a Buff Tip model. Isn’t the resemblence uncanny? First, the greyish, silvery bark. The wings of a Buff Tip mimic this eccellently, giving hints of birch’s papery, mottled skin. Then there’s the wing tips; perfectly matching the colour of a twig’s interior - sandy and woody. It even seems to act as an illusion to some extent, giving the impression of 3D-ness when you view if from the side. Then there’s the lil head . Doesn’t it look just like the end of a stick? Flat and stumpy, complete with growth rings to boot. Once again, a little parcel of pure *awe*, perched upon my finger tip. COCKCHAFERRRRRR! 🥺😍 If you’re anywhere near me on a warm night in May, you have a chance of hearing me screaming ‘COCKCHAFERRRRR!’ at the top of my lungs 😂 Every time I meet one of these hefty beauties, I got butterflies (or beetles) in my belly. Aren’t they adorable? Charismatic? Heartbreakingly fabulous?! Cockchafers (Melolontha melolontha) are also known as May Bugs, as it’s the time of year you’re most likely to spot them. Before they take to the air, they’ve lived a WHOLE other life as larvae under the soil. Here, in little burrows, they’ll dwell for a couple of years before transforming into a bumbling adult. The secret beetley lives beneath our feet! I had a couple of these beauties in my moth trap this week, and let them have a clamber and a cuddle with my fingers before flying off.   3. BEE WEE 🐝💦 Sometimes you capture the most *beautiful* nature moments accidentally 😂 This was a gorgeous evening. Proper golden hour, with beams of amber light streaming through the trees. They illuminated the Foxgloves like hot pink candles. It was divine. Buzzing emanated from every fuchsia trumpet - the bees were having a belting time. I settled on my haunches watching this particular fuzzy bum go about their busy bee business. A carder bee, I believe. I loved watching them work, so decided to film them in slo mo to get the *good stuff*. Watching it back, I realised I captured a pure anamalistic, and hilarious moment, on film. Bees do in fact wee!!   3. היי 4 שנים, מסלול חיי לקח אותי למחוזות שלא דמיינתי, גם אם הייתי ממש מנסה ויש לי דימיון פורה. מסלון בבית -> לחללים להשכרה לפי שעות (וכן זה לסחוב שולחן וציוד פוקר ממקום למקום)-> למשרד 21 מ"ר מתחם הבורסה (זוכרת כמה שזה היה מפחיד) ל-> תקופת קורונה וחזרה לסלון😞-> בשיא הקורונה לרמת החייל (בלי סיכון אין סיכוי❣) -> לפתיחת סניף של 40 מ"ר ברעננה -> להרחבת סניף רעננה של 300 מ"ר שכולו בית♥️ הגדול, והיפה ביותר שיש בישראל. לאחר טורניר נשים הגדול ביותר שהיה לנו בליידיס ובארץ. @ladies.dont.play ובקרוב עוברות גם מרמת החייל. לימדתי מאות נשים את המשחק ויותר מאלף נשים עברו בליידיס ולמדו את משחק העסקים - בו שייפו את יכולת לקיחת סיכונים, יציאה מאזור הנוחות, זיהוי סיטואציות ושליטה ברגשות (במקום שיהיה הפוך) והצטרפות לקהילה איכותית ומפרגנת לצד חלק ממשהו ענק, מהפכה פמניסטית בתחום שהכי היה מזוהה גם גברים. ובשבת האחרונה, ה23.9 הכל התרכז לטורניר הנשים הגדול ביותר שהיה בישראל. קהילה ענקית ומשפחתית. כמובן שהמטרה שלנו זה לשחק בטורנירים לצד גברים (קיים גם אצלנו בליידיס) אבל יש משהו בלהיפגש עם הליידיס כאירוע קהילתי. מה וגם שרמת הפוקר גבוהה במיוחד. תודה לשותף המדהים שלי גיא קליין ולמנכלית ליידיס דנה כרמל שפשוט לוקחת חלומות ומקדמת אותם בשיא הכוח נתראה בשיא הבא אליו נגיע❤ #poker #pokerlife #pokerplayer #game #cards #pokerface #casino

  1. As some of you may know, I’ve struggled with mental health. Initially, I was in denial - during the peaks, I’d feel too good to care about doing anything about it and during the valleys I simply wouldn’t have the energy or the willpower. Lately, I’ve been feeling much better and I wanted to share with you what has worked for me. 1. Time Outdoors It sounds simple, but spending time in nature is a must. I don’t think I’m capable of feeling depressed if I get at least 30 minutes outside a day. ☀️🌴 2. Journaling I get a fair bit of anxiety so putting pen to paper really helps when it comes to working through things and processing my emotions. ✒️📒 3. Breathwork I used to be skeptical, but it really is powerful. When I’m stressed or anxious, I make it a point to take a deep breath in for a count of 3 and then a deep breath out for 4. Try it next time you notice your emotions running high! 😊💨 Oh, and credit where it’s due - the last recommendation is from @dr.gto, my exceptionally talented friend in this video. He’s an excellent PLO coach (the best there is, really) and more importantly, an amazing human being who inspires me constantly.

  1. After five days of scouting and backpack hunting for Kerry’s ram, we hiked back out to base camp to clue up his hunt and start mine. We backpacked into sheep country again, and planned to return to the peaks the next day to make a play on 17 rams that were perched in the summits. Those usually elusive critters had other plans though. To our surprise they started making their way down the face of a mountain. We watched in awe as we had never seen them down that far. We were tempted to go for them once they got out of sight behind a finger, but we knew if they busted us they would blow right out of the valley. The decision not to go paid off, as to our amazement the rams popped over the edge of the finger and started coming right for us. When they went out of sight again we ran (my version of running 🤣) to the edge of the plateau that we were on. As we approached the edge the rams were nowhere to be seen so we knew they had to be right below us. Within a few seconds their backs appeared in the willows at 100 (!) yards. They sensed something was up and began cruising up the mountain near us. I got set up, located the lead ram, and once they stopped to look back I applied my training from @gunwerks Long Range University to get it done on this gorgeous sheep 💥 (more to come on that). The remaining 16 stood on the hillside for several hours, a mere 400 yards from us, as we processed and packed out mine.   2. Once the pack-out was over on my Yukon ram, the journey immediately began toward BC and my first attempt at a Stone sheep. The airplanes kept getting smaller, the weather got colder, and horses became a very welcome sight after a tough backpack hunt. A few days in we spotted a beautiful ram. We sat on the frigid mountain for 7 hours waiting and hoping that he would get closer to us (the landscape prevented us from closing the gap any further). As the day was nearing its end, he got to 560 yards (535 compensated) and once again I applied my @gunwerks Long Range University training to land two perfect shots in quick succession (check my story for the shots). With this ram, I had harvested a Dall, Fannin, Bighorn and Stone in less than a year.
