  2. Day 64 of hiking 2,200 miles from Georgia to Maine!! 🥳 Today was not my hardest day on trail. The sun was shining, I was surrounded by friends, but for some reason I was just feeling really down and anxious. It didn’t make sense to me, and I was frustrated with myself for feeling so emotional on such an “easy” day. But the hard days add up, and I think the sleep deprivation on top of some very hot, higher mileage days with a cold I had been fighting left me drained and feeling emotionally vulnerable. Sometimes we just feel how we feel, and it doesn’t have to make sense. I’m so grateful for the friends who cared for me and supported me and even walked with me as I made my way out of the funk. This trail is challenging. This trail is healing. We’ve been joking a lot lately about how the worst part of the trail is the hiking because our crew of characters has such a wonderful time together hanging out at camp and snack breaks.   1. Five years today I took my first steps on a 2,653 mile-long stretch of dirt that took me from Mexico to Canada… a stretch of dirt that changed my world. 

I tend to avoid looking back at photos, videos; 
visual timestamps so tactile I know when my eyes meet their shapes, I’ll be pulled back in—
back into a black hole of nostalgia; youth and joy and reckless abandon. 
 A timestamp so embedded in who I am, I avoid looking back because I know— 
I’ll never have an experience like it again… It’s sad. It’s beautiful. It’s growth. 
Hiking the PCT didn’t solve my problems. 
It didn’t give me clear direction.
Honestly, it complicated everything. Every aspect of my life. 
And for that, I’m most grateful. 
 It showed me what was possible. For myself, for my work, For my life. 

It turned out those crazy, beautiful, wild adventures

  2. ❄️ Escaping the winter crowds in Switzerland 🇨🇭🥹 Last week I headed up to Brüsti in Uri - and found a little winter paradise up there 🫠. It’s super quiet, untouched, and full of charm. ✨ There’s a tiny skiing area (I think one or two lifts 😌) and a snowshoe trail that takes you through peaceful forests, and offers breathtaking views over the Reusstal. The best part? It feels like you have the entire mountain to yourself. 🥰 I captured these moments with my Sony Alpha 7 IV, hopefully bringing the beauty of this winter landscape to life. 📸 I used my two favorite lenses, the 24-70mm F2.8 GM II and the 70-200mm F2.8 GM OS II 👉🏼 Want to see experience this little paradise yourself?
