  1. #ad I saw these @veradek privacy screens on @wayfair but instead of getting them with the stand, I saw I could order just the panels. And they were exactly what I needed to create the prettiest under deck skirting! They are a thick durable plastic (but totally look like metal!), weather & fade resistant. The chevron pattern would have taken me weeks if I tried to DIY it with wood slats. I thought of so many other uses for these . They would look really cute as window shutters, even wall decor.   3. Move over lattice. There’s a new way to screen under your deck and it looks so much better! These are privacy screen panels, but I got them without the stand. Each piece is 2’x4’ and I attached them to my deck joists and posts. They are waterproof, easy to trim and they look like metal but are actually a thick plastic.   2. Filing cabinets turned bougie planters! I got these jankosaurus cabinets for free on FB marketplace, and I’m amazed how a little time and elbow grease totally transformed them. I freakin love DIY, man. The possibilities are absolutely endless if you’re willing to show up and try.   3. When we added the extension nearly three years ago, it didn’t make much sense to rip out the (then five year old) kitchen just for the sake of it. We could have moved it into the kitchen but that would have been a huge upheaval, not to mention an extra cost. So I decided to keep it where it is and transform it with new fronts. The result: a completely new look kitchen, without having to makeover the whole space. There’s lots of companies now that do fronts for IKEA kitchens and they’re very easy to replace - just take off the hinges and screw on the new ones. The side panels and infill pieces were a bit more tricky to swap round, but a fairly simple job for the builder. I think it took two days in total. I kept the same worktop, tiles, sink, tap and integrated appliances and voila! 👌🏼 what do you think? [disclosure: I was gifted the fronts by @superfrontdotcom nearly three years ago]

  3. I knew this was the house the moment I arrived, before I even saw inside. The view alone sold me. But my search started way back in 2022 when I had no idea it would take this long to find my dream farmhouse in Spain. People told me expect to spend at least 2 or 3 years looking but I was like, no I’ll find it quickly. Haha how wrong I was. I’ve seen everything there is to see: falling down, burnt down, nested in, bats in. Everything! I came pretty close to buying a house in a very quiet area in Granada. Then a house that was way out of my renovation budget but it was so charming and had an olive factory in part of the building. I even considered a house that was 2.5 hours drive to the airport. But then I suddenly found a much better option. Finally after much perseverance I found the house that was just right! Call me Goldielocks. I can’t wait to take you all on a tour.

  2. A throwback to last Saturday when it was still winter 🤣 The weather has improved this week, and we had a few actual days of summer! ☀️ And I know like me, you love to see a still. Tbh I ‘still’ 😆 prefer them too. I booked leave off work this week to break the back in finishing repointing the cottage. I’ve had a very productive week, and am over half way. Guessing about another 5 days should do it. 🤞🏼 It’s not all gone to plan, with illness, running out of sand and bad weather, but on the whole I guess I’m doing alright for a girl. 💪🏼 Its been tough going, my arms, hands, and actually all of me are really aching, and I’ve had enough of the mess and dust. But you know this girl, ever determined to see it through. I just hope there’s a bloody good bottle of fizz on that finish line to celebrate 🤣🍾🥂 So it’s a much needed rest for me today.   3. It’s a bit of a moody Monday here after yesterday’s sunshine. I did intend on getting out and doing a bit of gardening after work, but it’s quite dull and showery so I’ve been drawn to sitting in here instead. If you’ve seen my stories, I’m still cracking on with repointing the outside of the house. It’s a mission and most other things round here are getting a bit neglected, including posting on here (sorry 😕). But I seem to have found a good balance of weekends of stone and evenings of catching up with life inside and the garden.   3. The Dressing Room bathroom transformation🫧 (Swipe for the before) I knew I wanted a timeless room that felt classic and cosy. I came across the most beautiful marble tiles from @quornstoneofficial who have the most amazing selection of natural tiles. I actually used Quorn Stone throughout my home and bathrooms as I just fell in love with their tiles! For the floor in this bathroom I went dramatic with the Versailles Manoir and then used the more paired back Carrara Bianco in the shower with the added detail of the herringbone mosaic on the tray and inside the niche. Carrara is such a timeless marble that never goes out of style. To make your bathroom look like an interior designer has done it - tile the tray - it is such a special and often missed detail! I also added a marble skirting board around the edge to finish it off. I really wanted to feature an oak vanity unit somewhere in the house & went with this stunning @parkerhowley_n_co one here topped in Carrara marble to match the rest of the room. The shower mixer & toilet is @roperrhodes which I adore! Shower screen @360gssuk - I was obsessed with finding frameless shower screens and came across these guys! They are amazing at what they do.
