  2. La espagiria es un arte de separar y unir, es alquimia vegetal con mucha filosofía, el origen de la medicina occidental antes de la revolución industrial. La medicina Kampo es una versión japonesa de la medicina tradicional china, que consiste en plantas medicinales. Quiero conocer el reino vegetal con la idea de cuidarme a mí, a mi familia y a mis amigos, y aplicaría el aprendizaje a cualquier ámbito como textil de forma directa e indirecta. . Extraer solo colores a partir de las plantas es un desaprovechamiento total, porque los colorantes que usamos para teñir son solamente solubles en agua cuando la mayoría de los colores (=nutrientes) que vemos y los que no vemos en las plantas no lo son, son liposolubles o solubles en alcohol (por eso las zanahorias o las gambas hay que comer salteando con aceite, o echas aceite a los tomates, etc etc...no por el sabor), son sustancias beneficiosas para nosotros (y venenos también según) y hay que aprender a aprovecharlo todo, porque todos los componentes de las plantas existen porque tienen su misión y se crearon para que sean útiles para nosotros. . Pues comeremos de forma adecuada, y de los residuos sacaremos aceites esenciales, hidrolatos y tintes, usando métodos de extración como fermentación o destilación con alambique, y finalmente sales minerales de sus cenizas. Y sembraremos más para todo esto... . Commelina communis, el asango del Japón, es una planta que en mi país se usa como tinta para bocetar antes de estampar tejidos. Sus pétalos, nada más acariciarlas con los dedos ya te manchas de azul zafiro, muy diferente al índigo, una tonalidad que pocas flores poseen. . Su colorante commelinino es una metaloantocianina, un complejo formado por seis moléculas de antocianina, seis de flavona y dos iones de magnesio quelado (y bla bla bla, que tampoco sé mucho!), nos permite aprovechar de la fugitividad y la solubilidad en agua para dibujar previamente, y después de la estampación definitiva, con el aclarado se va la tinta (también con el paso de tiempo). Es como el boli borrable Frixión, pero en versión ancestral completamente natural sin ser manipulado químicamente y se borra sin necesidad de dar calor por fricción. Un jugo de pétalos sin más, lo más primitivo, es uno de los ingredientes locales de nuestro entorno. En Madrid hay, en lugares más escondidos o inesperados como en las aceras urbanas, junto con otras malezas. . Sus flores se despiertan a la madrugada, duran poquitas horas de la mañana, por eso hay que cosecharlas muy temprano. Y de ahí viene el nombre Tsuyukusa en japonés, literalmente traducido sería hierba del rocío, en inglés se llama dayflower. Para mí es una planta de mi infancia, es una maleza que salen en todas partes, era un ingrediente ideal para jugar haciendo pócimas azules con mis amigos de la guarde. . Hoy en día, se cultivan otra variedad que tiene flores más grandes para poder sacar el mayor provecho. Ya solamente quedan dos agricultores en el mundo (cada año menos, a lo mejor queda sólo uno), que lo cultivan y elaboran esta tinta para este fin en la ciudad de Kusatsu de la prefectura de Shiga, el pueblo de mi abuela materna, una tradición agrícola de la zona donde había más de medio millar de agricultores desde antes del siglo XVII. La tinta líquida que más se comercializa ahora lleva el nombre de esta flor Aobana, pero es sintética, la auténtica tinta natural sólo se vende en formato papel impregnado de la misma. Con los poquitos pétalos que he cogido esta mañana, no me llega ni a un trazo!
